Any idea what a Div. 1 NCAA official makes per game?

Depends on the league but you are looking at an average of $800-$1000 per game plus expenses. Nothing to sneeze at that's if for sure.

The way i see it is that she isn't going away any time soon, so to make the best of it just take a shot every time they say Danica during this weeks Nationwide race!:32: You will be drunk before the first pit stop!:5:

You people have to remember that in the media business such as TV production, the PRODUCERS call the shots as to what you hear over the air waves. The producer sits in a truck or some remote location and jaws constantly at the on air hosts (thru ear pieces that you usually don't see) and tells them what they should be jawing about. Also they have pre-production meetings and go over what is going to be hyped etc etc.

I understand what you are saying and I believe families are the backbone of racing. The Drivers you listed indicates that their famlies are successful in business. Only a handful of these drivers have had success on the track though. Sooner or later , someone in their families is going to realize the are just blowing money without any return. Although I know their are guys who race for pure enjoyment who do not race to win and no amount of $ is going to stop them. What I am saying is for those familes who do want to win eventually realize they do not have the driving ability @ decide to put a good young driver in their great equipment @ make $ by winning races/marketing oppertunities. When this time comes I do not know but in my opinion the quality and growth of racing will increase. One example of this happening outside of racing is Colts owner Jim Irsay He used to manage the team , realized someone else could do better , hired Bill Tobin @ then Bill Polian and we now see the result.

I think if Danica would have put a big usac sticker on each side of the car, half the people on this thread would not be complaining :17:. Yes she was in a good car and yes she made a few mistakes. But in the end she brought the car home in 1 piece with a good finish. Don Moore is exactly right, there is a producer calling the shots. The comentators have to talk about what the producer wants. Hopefully she runs a few more races and brings some more attention to arca.
