Re: Question about Clayton
If you ask me Daron Clayton is just like somebody else we used to cheer for RICH VOGLER. He is out there to dominate everything, hot laps qualifying heat races to main events. If you dont go out and leave it all at the track why race anyone can ride around in circles true. As far as running on daddys money you would too given the opportunity if your parents could afford it or not. You have no Idea how much time he puts into his cars getting them ready to race. Not only a driveer but a student of the sport . You can learn a lot from guys like Bubby Jones. DON'T HATE THE PLAYER HATE THE GAME.

Re: Question about Clayton
I believe drivers like Daron are great for the sport. He is exciting everytime he comes out on the track. Yeah he has wrecked quite a few cars but isn't that a part of the learning how to run on the ragged edge? And as far as running off of "daddy's pocket" 90% of people know if given the same chance they would do the same thing 3 or 4 times over. Its seems though all the people that don't have that option like to talk **** about the people that do. As long as a driver shows some ability and respect does it really matter who's money they're running on?

Re: Question about Clayton
This particular thread is a good example of why IOW is one of my first stops everyday. The passion of posters (it certainly shows here in discussing Clayton), the mutal respect and the knowledge of sprint car racing is remarkable. Hats off to all of you and Mr. Gardner for a great website. Darron Clayton is listed to drive the Glenn Crossno #2 car @ Calistoga next weekend. The car must be new and out of the box. Car owner and successful businessman Crossno has, at least to my knowledge, never ran a #2 car before. Hope he makes it out to the fastest half-mile in California and I look forward to watching this young man in action. If not next week hopefully for the Oval Nationals in Perris. :greenflag:
