Cecil98 I totaly agree. I have been going to the 500 with 33 drivers, well let's just say from conception. Indy will always be a field of 33. I have been to many different tracks, with many different styles of racing....each track or type of racing all have their "History". Indy started alot of "Histories"!!!!!!! I will always continue to support the IRL and Indy no matter what, But it is the "History" that keeps me coming back. Even though Bump Day is a part of that "History" I would also rather see no bumping, than loosing this. I also agree that I would rather see more of the "smaller/poorer teams in the field than the "Big & Rich" take over every spot. It is alot of the smaller/poorer drivers/teams that all us "small" track people know.....Jimmy Kite, Tyce Carlson, Donnie Beachler, Dan Drinan.....and so on. Let us not forget the split....Most of the "Richer" teams left...!!
Did we, (weekly small track fans), not know alot more of the drivers and felt a more personal connection??????? I know I did.
Just my thoughts. I will be there several times during the month of May, including "Bump Day" no matter what the outcome, as well as race day. This will make my approxamite 35th or so of my 41 years!!!! :checkered: :thumb |
