Stanbrough from somewhere around row 7 to 4th, Nick Drake a good finish in 5th. The last couple of laps was worth the $$, a lot of contact between Shu and Cummins, nothing cheap just good hard racing for the win.

It was a hell of a race. A lot of twists and turns. Cottle led the first half and looked like he might leave everyone. But then in the second half, after one of the restarts Shuman and Cummins stayed with him, Shane went to the top and they both passed him. Then, Cummins wrestled the lead away from Casey, as they were leaving Shane behind. Then, all of a sudden, with 5 laps or so left, Shane found something up top and made a mad dash for the top pair and was bearing down on them, as the checker flew. Meanwhile, Jon Stanbrough had rifiled through the field in the last half of the race and that wasn't an easy thing, because drivers like Dakota Jackson, Nick Drake, Jarrett Andretti and Bradley Sterrett all fought him tooth and nail for their positions. You could just feel it in the air that a really good race was getting ready to happen tonight and these guys didn't disappoint! Congrats to Joe and the LPS team, because the track surface has came a long way from the IOW race night.

If somebody would have came up to any of us before the season started and said "Here's what I think's going happen this year. Casey Shuman's going to start showing up in one of those Kroc cars and start running up front", we would have looked at that person and wondered what they were smoking. But, that's what that guy does. Finds him a race team, makes the most of it and finds a way to be competitive. And when he's there at the end, he always takes his shot. When you add that new combo to Nick Drake, Jarrett Andretti and Dakota Jackson who have all improved since last year. And Sterrett, who showed that he's getting comfortable in this type of race car. And Jon Stanbrough, Chad Boespflug and Bryan Hayden, who will be there often with new teams. And frequent feature winners Brady Short and Jeff Bland. And the occasional visit from track ace Kyle Cummins, you have to think the prospects are looking pretty good for a stellar year at LPS. And I think this is going to be a year where track regular shows, all over the state, will have a resurgence.
