I have a very simple attitude about this...

Every car owners equpment is junk unless it is in victory lane.

Every driver who isn't in victory lane is a loser.

That's right... It's all about winning folks.:D

Its not all abour winning....its about sportsmanship, integrity, friendship, competition, and loving the sport. Maybe the same thing is wrong with our sport that is wrong with our countyry.....we've lost our values.

Gene... I didn't stutter. Racing isn't suppose to be like little league baseball it is about winning.

Merry Christmas!

Bill P. just a question for you! Its a long winter what makes you think that Paul is not or won't update over the winter?
Hell he could do it in one day if he wanted too with some help. Just a thought.

Bill G. maybe you could sponsor my underfunded ass and see where we go. Heck I would like to just be the first looser, it pays more then the 2nd looser. LOL!

I agree with Gene, here. Although the battle for the win that almost always comes down to the same handful of drivers, driving for the race teams we're all used to seeing run up front, is what makes the show. The middle of the pack, stocked with guys who live to fight the good fight, is and always has been the lifeblood of the sprint car scene in this state. My uncle raced for many years for the love of the sport and I think you would be hard pressed to find a family that has proven their love for sprint car racing more than the Gentrys have. Or the Carmichaels. Or the Beseckers. Or the Spencers. Etc, etc.

I hope we never get to the day that the prevailing attitude among drivers that know they don't have the motor to win a given race, is to not even bother showing up. Without teams like these signing into the pits, the racing scene would have folded in this state, a long time ago.

Are we both thinking about that great scene between the driver and owner in "Stand On It" by Stroker Ace?
