That may have been one of his best drive of the year. The car was off a little and he just kept diggin and never gave up. I didn't experience any rain or storms on my way home, and only a few sprinkles before I left the track at 8:22PM(CDT). There was a lot of lightning to the north as I was driving through Montgomery and I could see lightning in my rearview mirror as I was traveling between Shoals and Loogootee. By the time I reached Washington, the National Weather Service was issuing a severe storm warning for most of the area I had just driven out of. When I got back to Evansville, it was bone dry and HOT. I really shouldn't say the sprint feature was lackluster, but Stanbrough had the field covered for the win. As stated above, Jesse Cramer was exciting to watch and Jeff Bland Jr. really stands on it, too. |
