Then why did he hold it at the time he held it and the format he held it in? All Im sayin is a knoxville nationals format and summer time slot and the thing would probably turn a buck every year.


I have no clue on how much in sponsorships he sold, What his gate and pit take were.

I didn't say he wanted to loose money. I said he fulfilled a promises he hoped to make happen before retiring..

Knoxville hit that Million dollar total purse plateau a year or two ago. Back when Earl still had the track, he always tried to stay ahead of Knoxville's payout. That's why he started the Historical Big One and why he had the Mopar Million when he did too in my opinion.
