I don't mind seeing a quick, dry track even if it ends up tearing up tires.....which it does. I'd rather spend a few extra hundred on tires than a few extra thousand on a big motor. For those that say L-Burg favors cars with a 'big motor' a dry, slick track puts the outcome back in the hands of the driver, not what's under the hood.

And, I know I am biased, but the Mini-Sprints have had a good showing at L-Burg......good car counts and some pretty good racing. I am surprised L-Burg has not considered running the AMSA feature before the sprint feature to keep butts in the stands a little longer. Why not build up to the sprint feature rather than running it first and having your customers head for the exit as soon as it is over.

First off I have been going to the "Burg" since 1983 and as the 1/4 mile it was great racing and affordable to run for the racers. Instead of putting all that money into making a bigger track, the money could have went into building up the banks and putting more new clay on the 1/4 mile. Unfortunately it didn't happen that way and now we continue to see lower Sprint Car counts. There is no doubt it is possible to run in the top 10 consistenly when u get 13 or 17 cars! All that money put into the place and yet there are still porta potties in the pits, but there is a new sign out front lol.

So, You have to pit in gravel not mud, You have a paved push off lane not dirt and dust, A paved pit access road, Not mud. A 24hr Restroom that You can take a shower there, Camp there free *WITH HOOKUPS* Allowed to bring your own coolers in and food *No Alcohol* Have a well lit Pit area and second to none lit track. And we scream about a restroom?

The City's put more money every year into it. Do you want a penthouse suite with that Restroom?

And last but not least. AT LEAST THE BURG DRIVERS GOT PAID!!!!!!!!!!!

Sitting back, eating the popcorn.

13 or 56 sprints, I've never had a bad evening as a fan at the Burg. BTW that 13 was one night and I was at another track that only had 17 race. We've averaged about 21 so far this year.

Yeah, Im being a homer, I have a good time at the other tracks too and except for Eldora its been a great year at the races at many different tracks.

Gotta say I agree with this post. I fail to understand why any time somebody has a bad word to say about “support classes” (that’s what they have to be called if they aren’t the headliner that night) Nunn has to jump all over it. This is an openwheel board first and foremost, read the title of it. That means fans of that type of racing post on this board. Not everyone cares about other classes, it’s just a fact (I’m sure some LM fans wouldn’t walk across the street to see a sprint car). Some people hit the parking lot when other things are on the track, so be it. We get it, you like them all, good for you. We are all race fans, just because everybody doesn’t like EVERY class doesn’t mean they aren’t one. If I lived across the street from a Nascar track and had a free ticket, I still wouldn’t go. I’ve seen it a few times long ago, not my thing. I don’t like that type of racing and never will. Doesn’t make me less of a race fan.

As for the Burg, they work hard at the whole thing. That’s all you can do.

Y'all just love to complain don't you? I dare you not to complain about this post, but I know most of you can't help yourselves....

You even complain about something so insignificant as someone who is a fan of all of the racing a track as on its program? This board is filled with ********...

I'm a "new" fan, only 31 years old, wide-eyed, have some disposable income... but, the commentary on this thread in particular really turns me off to grassroots, open-wheel racing.

The views expressed on this board are not necessarily the views of most of the race fans you will run into at the races. There are some who cant help but complain and they get the most attention. I know for a fact that these views are not the view of the owner of this board who I believe is as frustrated as you are at the constant bickering between the fans of the different tracks. I guess what I am trying to say is ignore it and dont let it keep you from visiting and enjoying the track of your choice.
