Re: LPS Rained out...

when they called it off it was raining at the track light but still raining the track looked a long way from being ready but they had been working on it there was 25 to 35 sprints there when it was cancelled I Think they tried but not only would they had to of started late the grass hill parking would have been trouble getting people stuck I give Spiker credit for trying but they made the right Call.

My 2 Cents from being at the track

There wasn't that many sprints there, and very few street stocks, mods, etc. No one in the stands, and it was a muddy mess in the pits. The right call was made for both USAC and the speedway. However, would have been better if it was called sooner.

Superduke called it a week ago. I guess the old man was right again. I'm glad I didn't waste my time and gas.

Pulled into Putucky at 5:35 PM just in time to see the last of the car haulers pulling out. The track was a mess and they wouldn't have had time to get it worked into shape. I couldn't see the pits but the haulers were muddied up so I imagine it wasn't very good either.

They made the right call to cancel but I wish it would have been earlier. Would have saved me a 3 hour drive to Anderson Speedway.:3: Of course, if they would have called it earlier it would have cleared off like Lawrenceburg and we all would have been unhappy.:15: The life of the promoter is a roller coaster ride for sure. I wouldn't want it for all that big time money they make.:5:

I at least got to see some racin. I went to the fights (aka figure 8's) and a race broke out.:10:
