I'm just looking for the day when I go to Terre Haute on Friday night and see 40 USAC sprint cars, then down to DuQuoin on Saturday Night to see about 40 of those same guys in USAC Silver Crown cars, then on to a Kentucky or Chicago the following day for a one day show of about 25 of those same guys in the new Gold Crown cars. They could qualify and race the same day, maybe packaged with ARCA? I would go to that.

Well we are one step closer to getting to our destination with GOODYEAR RACING TIRES becoming the official tire supplier and a series sponser.

What does that mean?

It means that Hoosiers monopoly on front engine open wheel racing is crumbling and the end times are upon us. OR They are smart enough to not get involved to begin with.

It means GOODYEAR is suppling the tires and they beleave that the GOLDCROWN series is movig in the correct directin and they are willing to also be a series sponser. Yes I am sure DWB will find something in this anouncement to be negataive about. It is one of the answers to a question asked earlier.

I'm not sure how DWB would find anything in this announcement to be negative about. It doesn't really say anything. Do you have a link to a press conference where this was announced to the public? Perhaps there is more information to be found. Again I ask, what does this mean?

Yes you can go to goldcrownchampionship.com and go to the press release. Oh I dont know about DWB he would find something to complain about if you handed him 50k and all the ice cream he could eat for the next 20yrs. And life time free pit passes to any and all races.

You're DAMN right I'd find something wrong with that. The ice cream would ruin my figure and I'd have to pay taxes on the $50,000 as income. So tell me how I couldn't look at that as anything but NEGATIVE?

Lucky161, There must be some thin spots in his tin foil helmet today. Maybe the Grey's haven't come back to "see" him again and he is affraid they have stopped coming for him and his mashed potato sculpture of Devil's Tower is now meaningless.

I read the press release. A lot of fluff, not so much substance. A company that sells racing tires has agreed to sell tires to a new series? Wow! Who'd a thunk? And they're going to be listed as presenting sponsor of the series. That's nice. At least it would be nice if they are actually paying money or supplying product for free or at a significant discount. And it would be nice if was for a longer period of time than next year's exhibition season. But it says through 2010.

One car owner says he's so exicited about this he's speeding up his program and has decided to build a car to display at the Indy trade show. Wait a minute, I thought this guy was already planning to have a car at that show?

The fact that this series is providing mostly fluff does not mean it has or will fail. But this reminds me a lot of the "coming announcements" of the IRL where they mostly hint about announcements, yet never seem to get around to actually announcing anything.

Harldy that at all. It reminds me of the CCWS in 2008. Gone before it ever got the green flag.
