Whitt is tearing it up in Kokomo this year. Is there a track championship on the way with all those wins.

A classic race with Whitt by a foot at the line over Faas. What else can you say! They didn't touch the track and it stayed fast all night with multiple grooves.

With a couple of laps left there were 4 lapped cars between Faas and Whitt, I still dont know how he got past them and caught him. Once Faas got past the lappers and into an open space I thought it was over. Great run by Gulick, he had passed Cottle for 4th then lost it back on the last lap. I agree with the post above about the track prep there. it LOOKS like it should be dry and dusty but it is always 2 grooves and racey as hell. I figured we would be eating dust tonight with the stiff breeze in our face but I didnt even touch the goggles I brought in. :6::8:

First off thank you rube for the updates, now I have got to make it clear Josh did not spin, he was caught up in somebodys spin with no where to go. We are currently looking for a duct tape and or a plastic tie owner for a sponsor as that is what is holding the 66j together due to being caught up in other peoples crap. I thought Josh did pretty good with a broken front end finishing right behind one of the best sprint car drivers in the country and just ahead of two of the best prepaired cars around. (After going to the tail)

Oh well it is early (late) and I have just finished the laundry and have got the car ready to be put back together for Gas City.

Kokomo you guys did a great job with the race track, it was also nice that we finished in time to let the fans come to the pits and visit before going home. (sorry Bill)

Cole you and your whole crew are a class act, karma is a good thing. I have a feeling that you are more than just a shooting star.

Jerry, just glad I can go to the garden in the morning and relax, oh and the salad from the garden should help me to calm down. (Good night Chuck)

Thanks for the nice words about Coleman. Actually he did get 4th at the line. He and Shane went hard and Scorers placed us 4th. Thanks again.

I say this every week. Can it get any better than Kokomo? The track surface was excellent and they didn't even have to touch it even with a heavy car count (mods, thunder cars and sprints). The sprint feature was a war. It is very difficult to catch all of the action going on all over the track. For a weekly show, this is the best sprint car racing in Indiana right now.

I did get to see young Coleman Gulick do battle with the big boys and finish in fourth place. I enjoyed watching him pick them off one by one. He staged a great battle with Cottle over the last half of the race. This kid is a comer who isn't afraid to stand on the gas. Whitt is just amazing and he currently owns Kokomo. If I heard Rob Goodman correctly, he took the points lead last night. Had to feel sorry for Faas as he probably still can't believe he didn't win that one. Several other battles through out the field with the show being over at a decent hour even with the modified feature running first.

What more can we say about poor Josh Spencer. If he didn't have bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all. He has been really up on the wheel :31:this year but seems to be involved with other people's problems. He still was able to continue on last night and had a respectable finish after restarting in the rear of the feature. Again, a special thanks to the O'Connor family for making Kokomo Speedway THE place to be on Sunday nights.:8:

Another great night at Kokomo. Good run by Coleman almost missed the finish because I thought Faas was gone so I was wathing Coleman battle with Cottle. I caught the finish out of the corner of my eye luckily. As one guy that was here from South Dakota told I'm lucky to live just a couple blocks from the track he don't get to see much good racing like this back home. He added he was glad he left the brickyard early to catch Kokomo it was well worth it.
