One hundred and forty five dollars to get in (five and a transponder) ten gallons of fuel, five laps, destroyed race car, driver with a slight headache, not one penny at the payoff line. And we Josh and others are the ones putting on the show. I would just like for our driver to get a pass at the gate. By the way Spencer Racing is one crash away from going out of business. :headbang

I am in no way putting anyone down just stating what it takes to put on a show.

This team is one of the best teams there is out there people!!! I would hate to see them go out of business. When you read this post, it sure puts things into perspective. I have stayed out of this thread because I have been irritated at t2d for quite sometime. They always come on here and push their site constantly wanting people to go over there. Some people just want to be on IOW. Yes I have gone to their site and brought results from there to here when I was asked to do so. I just think they are very pushy and sometimes rude. Now I find out they get into races FREE, they have sponsors on their website and they are complaining!!! I wish we could have gotten in free to the races. As Jerry posted it is very costly for a driver and they are the one putting on the show. All t2d are doing is typing stuff into a computer and they are complaining. I just think there is something wrong with this picture.

This is the exact rub that got under everyones skin that has been complaining. I am not saying T2D is not a great thing. But do they deserve to get in free when the drivers and teams that put on the show are paying their way in AND the bills?

I think NOT! And I am really not sure as to what makes them think they should get in free?

Good luck to the Spencer's and T2D, but if the drivers and fans are paying to get in, YOU GUYS SHOULD TOO!

Okay here is something you all can think about. Race tracks probably give 5 or so free (probably more) passes to people like photogs, reporters, etc... Make those people pay to get in the track and then with that money hold it until the end of the evening. Offer that money to teams that stay the latest at the track each night! This way the folks like the Spencers that hang out interacting with the fans might get one of their pit passes paid back to them. Maybe this would give incentive to teams to hang out. They can battle each other to leave last!!

The great ideas that come off this board often go overlooked by all the apearance of negativity.

Good Idea Jake. Photogrophers are making a free living of this. Of course they have their expenses but if TTD.com has to pay. shouldn't they? In any case it's a wash and may help both some teams and fans to get to know them better. I don't know that full pit price is necessary either to press but Half?????

Jigs (Gas City) lets everyone who purchases a one dollar 50-50 ticket in the pits till 6pm as well then lets sprint fans in the sprint pit after the sprint feature is over. Mods after the mods and other classes as they finish. the 50-50 sales aren't really a profit for anyone but does help loyal teams in year end point payouts.

The frame is fine, it got the bolt ons, rear end, wheels and shocks. The last two Fridays at Gas City we have went thru four front shocks and front end parts, now we have started on rear end parts and wheels. We as most teams knew going into this year that things would be tight, the bigger teams are in the same boat just some of us got behind a little faster. We are lucky to have Mark and his brother Scott as U.S.A.C. car owners as at least Josh will be able to run the U.S.A.C. shows. We are also lucky to have good friends as well as some sponsors that have got us this far. The sad thing is we lost three teams this weekend that I know of, Heavy D / Matthews, Mark Arnold, and Jason Holt. The little tip overs sometime are the ones that tear up the most as it was such a violent stop. I am not crying or complaining as we knew the day may come that we would have to pick what we were going to do. Josh, Sarah, Paul and I are putting all of our bent up stuff in the back of the truck and heading for the scrap yard so we can run Friday night at Gas City. Again I am in know way complaining, we have our health some good friends and so far today it has not rained one drop. :rolling

Did not know this about the Gas & I've been going for years! Now I may just have to partake in the 50/50 drawing to get in the pits after the sprint feature. I thought the pits were closed until all classes are complete. Very good to know this! They should announce this though so they will get more takers for their 50/50!

Well I don't know it for a fact that they let people in after the races. But thats what they did for me last year at Midget week. The midget featch was run first. They worked the track before the sprint featch and I walked to the pit gate and asked if we were allowed back. He said where ya going? I said sprint cars. He said ok, just don't enter the mod area.

Chuck, saying the 50/50 one was told to me by Dwight and I apreciated it. from 5-6pm you can buy at 50-50 at the pit gate and enter until six.
