Jimmie J is now the iceman.

It's funny that the trophy is an open wheel car with wings.

That, indeed, was a real lackluster of a race. I've seen more excitement in a lot less time in a non-wing heat race and for a lot less money.

I should have painted something and watched it dry!

I grew up outside of Detroit and can see the GM world headquarters from my house, concept cars were cooler then land speed record cars when I was a kid.

The Harley J. Earl Trophy is named after General Motors car designer Harley Earl. Earl, the second commissioner of NASCAR, was the designer of the Chevrolet Corvette;[1] his Firebird I concept car provides the basis of the automobile that sits atop the trophy;[2] the car is often misidentified as Sir Malcolm Campbell's "Blue Bird" land speed record car.[3] Earl was a friend of NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr., who named the trophy after him as a sign of respect.

None the less, Larson was running up front for his race, and the 500 was a snoozefest, even at a "fast" 3 hours and 8 minutes.

Anyone know when the Daytona 500 is going to be on. The only thing I could find on FOX today was a parade. Must have rained.

I turned on the Daytona 500 and got an F1 race instead. That was just a boring race.

I thought it was a good race. I watched the whole thing, pulling for Blaney, Yeley and Danica. But then again, I'm a race fan. Sprints on dirt are my favorite but I'll watch anything racing. Heck, I still get down on the floor and race HO slot cars with my nephews.
