Re: MTQRL Fast Facts - May 23rd Lawrenceburg Speedway
first i wanna say i wasnt at the burg saturday but i was at brownstown when the umra ran there few weeks ago...and there was only 19 or 20 cars there why all the bashing over how many cars was at the burg? and do you really think the umra put on a good show at brownstown? and from a fans point of view i think the new series is the best thing to ever happen to tq racing ...and as far as lawrenceburg and motor issues i really believe it is way to big of a track for these motors since it was rebuilt...i know we will not run down there anymore with the mini sprint

Yeah, imagine that. It's typical of what a lot of people, including me, has been trying to say. The other series has to look at themselves in the mirror to see why there was EVER a thought of another series. The people that are trying to "stir the pot" need to start acting like adults and concentrate on doing good things with their series. Go out and put on a good show and move on.
Congrats to the MTQRL for getting their season started, finally! It will only get better, I'm sure. I think saying that it's a husband and wife is giving way too much credit. It's the same person. |
Re: MTQRL Fast Facts - May 23rd Lawrenceburg Speedway
The fact is...that the MTQRL was only formed to get rid of one particular team, in my opinion. Everyone knows who this team is. This particular team has done nothing more or nothing less than anyone else. I guess this is because they seem to be always held to a "higher standard". Could be due to their success or maybe people just don't like them. As a supporter of many different types of racing, and a spectator of many TQ races, I personally have never seen this particular team do anything that anyone else has not done themselves. However, I have noticed the fines and penalties seem to be far worse for this team. I have yet to figure that out. The MTQRL formed when the founders discovered being a UMRA series sponsor did not give them the right to make racing decisions as a spectator. This seems wrong to me. It seems like they should have tried to work with the UMRA club, since they have been around for 49 yrs, to make things better instead of going out and forming another club.

Re: MTQRL Fast Facts - May 23rd Lawrenceburg Speedway
This is from Jeff Bruce, First I would like to thank all the crew at Lawarenceburg Speedway. Second I'd like to say that I am sorry to everyone that I could Not get my car running properly. I don't have alot of money to put a car on the track and so this is just a very expencieve hoby for me. I do not go to the track knowing my car was not running properly but after hot laps I found out different. This race has just a test sesion for us because I've only had the car for 6 weeks or so and it was at ACRA Eng. for 3 weeks and a day. ( thank u Acra the drive line was great). I guess my biggest problem is I love tq racing. I'm tired of seeing all the negitive talk on both sides. I'll be the first to say that I'd like to see Both sides Work together and maybe join together under the umra banner to make great racing for everyone.
P.S. thanks to my kids for making me look like an arcade champ.LOL |
