Re: Bloomington updates
Not sure if you happened notice or not, but was wondering if anyone might have noticed how Ray Humphrey looked in what I think was his first night out in the sprint car No. 1H?

Re: Bloomington updates
Great job Dave!!! Thank you again guys!!
Good night everyone!! |
Re: Bloomington updates
Dave ran an awesome race...found a way to pass on a track that was tough to pass on. Wish he could have had a little longer, but he still put on a heck of a show for this Darland fan!
Ray Humphrey had a rough night...ran clean but a little on the slow side...to be expected with next to no experience in a sprinter. He was stuck in the C-Main and couldn't get through. |
Re: Bloomington updates
I just got home from the track, Levi had them covered except for DD who could keep up but was 10-15 lengths back most of the feature. Traffic gave DD a chance late but Levi found his way through. Josh Wise was 3rd but way behind Dave. The track was black slick after the heats and looked like pavement by the time the feature arrived. Unusual for Bloomington. It was like watching a USAC race with all the names there. Dickie Gaines got upside down fairly hard in 1&2. The car went so high he landed on top of another #11(name?). All 3 features tonight went green to green. I want to add that I believe Shelby Miles will win some features (maybe not this year). He finished fourth in his heat but didn't transfer through the B. He's still somewhat squirrelly but looked much better this week than last. He could be a name for the future as he was tough in a modified.
For those of you that left after the sprints, the finish in the Super Stock feature was incredible. Top 3 crossed the line side by side by side, half a car length apart total, photo finish for second, it was truly the best race of the night. That's why I stay till the last race is run. I want to add there was one very interesting moment, they were getting ready to go green in the B main and some padding fell off a car in front of the flagman and they turned the yellow light back on but the field was NOT paying attention. Mike Miles rode out on his 4 wheeler picked it up and was scooting across the track and everyone was coming off 4 like it was the green. I would almost bet he had to go wipe after that. He got to the guardrail in time so it was just a close call. |
Re: Bloomington updates
1 line track all night. Not a lot of racing.
