Part of the problem, with tracking some of the older drivers, not to mention memory, is the fact that AAA, CRA,WRA, and a few others, were fighting to keep drivers from crossing over, so a lot of "inventive" names were posted, something Tony Stewart has done, and others. If you want to do some interesting reading, just Google "Red Amick", for a start, even some of the stuff we've been discussing in the last week, is there. I found this, on www.champcarstarts.com Richard "Red" Amick, born Kansas City, Mo, 1929, died 1995.

I remember Red Amick coming to Col. in. one nite in 58/59 winning the main under the name of RED APPLE, I seen that he was good also!!!!!!:checkered::checkered::checkered:
