Not too sure? That was about the time he was around so it could be. I helped a USAC team that Tim drove for. Right off hand I thought it wasn't him in the picture, not the way I remember him looking.

I think I recognize and remember every sprint car on this page! Can't decide whether that's good or that just means I'm old :2:

Those are cool photos! You wouldn't happen to still own that offy midget would you? :9:

Ovalmeister - Thanks. No, I wish I had that car that would be cool. It was a Curtis copy with parallel rear torsion bars. I believe thats a Peck nose on it. I not a 100% sure what happened to it. I think it was stolen around 1959 or 1960 and as far as I know never seen again. Haha, I still have the 1/2-midget though.

Most of the photos in the upper part are ones I took back in the day. All the ones that you have labeled with driver's names are correct.

The Magnavox #12 is the DePalma car out of Lima, OH that unsually ran USAC; but this photo is Jerry Poland at an ASA (when they had a short lived sprint car series) race at the end of a season in the early 1970's at Salem, IN.

The #48 in the pits at New Bremen was driven that day by Thad Dosher.

The white #11 is Karl Busson at Eldora and the Smith Speed Shop #70 on the banks of Winchester is Darl Harrison.

The red #4 with Bruce Walkup? at New Bremen, OH is, in fact, Bruce Walkup.

The photos later in the thread of the Smith Speed Shop #17 and #70 dirt champ car are also mine. I'd have to check my records on the #17; but it is from the Hoosier 100 and I believe either Rich Vogler or Larry Rice was the driver.

The photo of #70 is actually Sprint Car HOF inductee, Lee Osborne leaving the pits at Syracuse, NY in I believe 1974. I know it was taken the same day Gary Bettenhausen went over the fence there in turn #1 and into the roof of a building before bouncing back onto the track.

I'm glad you guys are getting some enjoyment out of my old photos.
