Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
1987 was the first year. 2016 was the 30th Annual.
Therefore, the 2016 version of the Chili Bowl would have been the 29th Anniversary. Not only did they spell Anniversary incorrectly, they also used it in the wrong context. A mistake that should not have been overlooked, but it was. But not worth complaining about. |
That's flat out wrong, but thanks for coming in. 1987 counts and 2016 counts that is 30 total..

Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
Not sure what you don't understand. It is the 30th ANNUAL, not the 30th ANNIVERSAY. If you get married on January 1st 1987, then January 1st, 1988 is your 1st anniversary. Therefore, January 1st, 2016 would be your 29th anniversary. It isn't rocket science. 30th Annual = 29th Anniversary.

Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
Yep, 30th annual, 29th anniversary. I got married on March 20, 2010 (I think). making March 20, 2011 my FIRST ANNIVERSARY. The first event isn't the first anniversary. But really, it was an excellent try all around on the T Shirts :8::8:

Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
This just gives them a chance to make the same shirt next year,

Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
Wow.... Some people really are clueless.
Thanks for the warm welcoming treecitytornado, I usually dont like to conquer in such dramatic fashion but some fools make it so easily done. Thank You! |
Thank u MDD. It was the 30th running any way you slice it and that's what race fans go by. Wasn't, thinking about marriage! Most end in divorce anyways, lol

Re: You do mean Anniversary right?
I'll betcha at least half the people that bought those shirts would never notice the spelling if somebody didn't point it out to them.
