Re: Division 2 midgets
Well computer locked up in victory lane this time. Best I can figure Ryan Partin? a dark horse sprint driver won the feature followed by Farney then Davis.
Ryan said and I quote "We couldn't afford a sprint deal, but we could afford one of these cars." That should tell you something gang!! It is a shame we couldn't get more cars out for these race's, 20 cars out there would have made one real good race. All we can do is to pray for better times, like we had back at the turn of the century. How fast was it Aaron?? That,s what we HillBilly's call a 3/8 mile track with a 1/2 mile back straight, USAC I will be back tomorrow, THANKS!! Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
Re: Division 2 midgets
:6::6:That sprint main was worth the price of admission!!!!! Danged computer locked on last lap but I guess BC nosed out DD with a last lap slider. It was a race won with the right foot and experience those two stayed side by side the whole race. Did I mention "The Iceman" a former mini sprinter does have a temper!!!!!

Well sorry I havent post but we only had 4 car to show up for a national event with USAC...it is embarrassing .........but we still paid what was advertised

Re: Division 2 midgets
Papa, I applaud you for sticking to your guns regarding the payout, and I hope you still plan on bringing your series up to Indiana; if the dates don't conflict with any of the Montpelier shows I'm hoping to support you. A 60-year-old rookie in a 15-year-old Mini Sprint may not be much of a draw, but the "run what you brung" concepts of the Montpelier Midget and your Division 2 group were appealing enough for me to make the decision to get on the track this year. Hope the car counts pick up the rest of the weekend.

No going to give up at all..in it for the long haul.....it is disappointing when so many said they where going to be here but I do understand when the fuel prices have risen 60 cents in the pass 4 weeks....
Was just embarrising when USAC asked "where are all the cars" As far as coming to Indiana now...I will have to talk to the 3 tracks with basicly only 4 cars going to be eligible for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP it might not be that fizable for them... We'll wait and make that decision next week. Posted via Mobile Device |

Things went great, he had a great car count, only one problem:5: only about 100 people showed up to watch the race. Turned out Louisvillians are more into 4 legged racing and we had a Blizzard that week end. Life is a crap shoot, sometimes you win sometimes you loose, you gotta to just keep on keepen on "GOD" I love competition. I see you have one Bradley maybe two on their way down for the next race or two. I hope more racers are also beating their way down. Wish we could be there also. We also need to take a little time out and say a little prayer for the Roberts family. I know they intended to make the race down there but God kinda of put the stops to that Idea. How is your car doing? I Saw a little smoke the last couple of laps. That joint is quite a bit bigger than your old Bull Ring. Looked to me like you need to go down 1 maybe 2 teeth on the rear sprocket. On these big old tracks you need to gear like you are racing a "box stock .25 Midget". You want to stay off the rev-limiter drive as straight as possible and build more speed with each lap, and don't get bogged down. Say thanks to Bubba and to USAC. Hope That Bradley Bunch gets there on time they really are good people. Me I'll fork out another 10 bucks and watch some more streaming USAC video with a few lockup, only at the most important parts of the race.:5::44: For all you non snow birds out there sitting at home with nothing to do, WHY not support Pa Pa Outlaw and USAC and go to USACRACINGTV purchase a $9.95 pass and watch some good racing. The DivII field was kinda of small but they raced awfully close the entire race and put on a good show. Who Flipped in Practice? The USAC main was a hell of a race!!!:9: BC and DD gave everyone a driving lesson. A lot of times a close second is the best place to be in the closing part of the race.:8: Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
