I last updated my race total in July, 1981 but I was drinking at the time and may be off on the month and year.

1) 2/12 East Bay Raceway Park / Lucas Oil Late Models / Bloomquist wire-to-wire.
2) 2/15 Volusia Speedway Park / WoO Sprints / Pittman torches 'em.
3) 2/16 Volusia Speedway Park / WoO Sprints / McCarl wins on one-groove track.
4) 2/17 Volusia Speedway Park / WoO Sprints / Lasoski wins after Kemenah blows late lead on restart - goes to left of cone.
5) 5/4 I-96 Speedway / SOD & NRA Sprints / Ron Blair comes up from Ohio & holds 'em all off on my 30th Wedding Anniversary.
6) 5/19 Kokomo Speedway / Open Sprints / Jerry Coons, Jr., once again proves he is top shelf.
7) 5/24 Gas City I-69 Speedway / Open Sprints / Boespflug takes honors. Took a buddy to his first dirt track race - he loved it.
8) 6/1 I-96 Speedway / WoO Sprints / Paul McMahon takes advantage of Schatz slip up with about seven laps to go.
X) 6/2 Kokomo Speedway / Open Sprints / Rained out, pits an unusable mud pit after rg1 posted on line here they were "racing tonight". 240 miles round trip. Thanks.
9) 6/5 Kokomo Speedway / WoO Sprints / Tim Kaeding wins one of the best races I have seen in YEARS!
10) 6/14 Hartford Motor Speedway / SOD Sprints / Gregg Dalman wins. First time in a million years Dustin Daggett didn't win there. Jim Lingar goes out of park in Turn 2.
11) 6/16 Kokomo Speedway / Bell wins last round of Midget Week / Larson wins in sprints. Two GREAT features!
12) 6/22 Butler Speedway / Open Sprints / Roger Campbell takes Sprint Feature. Five classes of racing. Sprint Feature ended at 1:25 a.m. Good God....
13) 7/5 Gas City I-69 Speedway / OPen Sprints / Stomp & Steer Scotty Weir bests the other 29. Jarett Andretti has awful flip in heat in Turn 2.
14) 7/6 Butler Speedway / SOD / Gregg Dalman holds off Jared Horstman on a heavily rubbered-in track. 20 cars. The rain missed us. Met "fish".
15) 7/11 Limaland Motorsports Park / Donny Schatz takes the Brad Doty Classic after the race was postponed from the night before.
16) 7/12 Eldora Speedway / The Mad Man, Kerry Madsen, wins the Knight Before the KR over Brad Sweet. One groove track. Tim Shaffer wins NRA race.
17) 7/13 Eldora Speedway / King's Royal - Much better track tonight. Brad Sweet becomes the 30th winner. Best car all night long he was. Darren Long wins in NRA action.
18) 7/27 Kalamazoo Speedway / Plan 'B' after Butler got rained out. Brian Bergakker won the 50 lap Outlaw Super Late Model go. Glad I went SOMEWHERE!
19) 8/2 Gas City I-69 Speedway / Open Sprints / Boespflug was unstoppable tonight. 23 cars.
20) 8/3 Butler Speedway / Open Sprints / Doug Zimmerman wins the weekly show. Saw a modified leave the track via Turn 1 and wind up in the road outside the track.
21) 8/10 Butler Speedway / Open Sprints / Kevin Atkins draws the #1 pill and doesn't waste it. 21 cars.
22) 8/14 Kalamazoo Speedway/ Kalamazoo Klash XXI / Terry Sennaker, Jr., takes home the $10,000 in front of a Wednesday Night packed house.
23) 8/22 Kokomo Speedway / Night 1 of the Smackdown / Clauson comes from way back in 14th to win using the low line. Everyone else was upstairs.
24) 8/23 Kokomo Speedway / Night 2 of the Smackdown / Darland wins after an overwatering of the track pre-feature. All heats and B Main were top shelf.
25) 8/24 Kokomo Speedway / Night 3 of the Smackdown / Darland dominates as Cottle comes from 10th but couldn't catch him.
26) 8/31 Crystal Motor Speedway / SOD / Dustin Daggett wins in front of a HUGE Labor Day Weekend crowd. 18 cars.

Re: The OFFICIALLY UNOFICIAL Race Count thread 201

money is an issue for me and for many, travel expenses, motel expenses and promoters who cancel races after a ten minute rain do not make for much incentive to hit the road unless the weatherman guarantees no rain in the forecast (which last year was seldom if ever) come on promoters, give it your all this year and get those races in, your fans will appreciate it.:13:
