Did the neighbors complain about the noise....after all it was a Sunday. :24:

Heard it was a exhaust test with gun silencers so by the end of the race night, the fans would be worn out from making the "vroom vroom" sounds and the noise issue would just kinda fix it's self......

Got this from an unnamed source who isn't authorized to comment.

No, that isn't a wing, they are solar panels.

Attachment 6641

Couple of technical hurdles:

1) Need to cut out the fenders for DT-3's.
2) Need to figure out how to coordinate red lights with cloudcover.
3) May need to start a little earlier.
4) Need to rename "Hot Laps" to "Mediocre Laps".

Any other technical issues with the new format that we have overlooked?

Just one issue....I'm sure you are already on top of it... can you convince the EPA that since the cars are solar powered they should ease up and cut you some slack on track prep....races will obviously have to be daytime shows now....back in the day to combat dust they would coat a dirt track in oil...then the EPA said NO WAY!!!... but since there will be no use of typical fuel, no emissions and no noise surely they will give you a break and allow you to oil the track??

Actually the problem of daytime racing and solar powered cars has been solved. The track will be lit with ten thousand tanning lamps. Not only will the fans see good racing, They will get the back from the beach look as well.

Rumor has it here in the Redbud City that our fearless leader Bill Gardner is starting up a golf cart racing series at LPS. He has been working on it for some time and today is the secret test session.

The word from an unnamed source was that Bill plans to lease LPS on Sunday nights for a special midnight race at least twice a month. Each show is suppose to end with fireworks at 5 AM so all of the neighbors can get to bed early and still be up before the crack of dawn without an alarm clock.:3::10:

How about it Bill?:31:
