I believe Ol' Jack took a pretty good tumble in turn 1 in the '98 Hoosier 100. And, I think that same '98 HH got rained out at lap 35 or 36 and was called a complete race even though they hadn't made it to 51 miles.

Hewitt was involved in a wreck in which his left front wheel was collapsed and Chuck Leary drove over him and went for a big tumble. I do not recall Hewitt getting upside down. However, the night before at 16th Street Speedway, Hewitt did take a fairly big flip in the feature.

Now the last driver to WIN both the Hoosier Hundred and the Indy 500 in the same year was Al Unser in 1971. What I would give to see BC accomplish that feat! :6:
