Not quite sure how it got the name Sun Valley but I have some thoughts on this. The speedway sits down in a valley and there used to be a number of General Motors plants to the west of the speedway. As the sun used to set in the West, the sun kind of set between the buildings right down on the speedway.

There is also a short street that extends from Madison Avenue east of the speedway that is named Sun Valley Drive.

A better person to ask about this is Checker'd Past here on the board. He is one of only two people to have ever seen all of the Little 500's. He has forgotten more about Sun Valley/Anderson Speedway than I will ever know.:3: I will see if he might have some answers to this question.

What the Hell does't does this have to do with post:16:15::15::14:

It looks to be "a part" of a friendly discussion between race fans.

Not the smartest idea I've ever heard

We took my 3 month old to Twin Cities for his very first race last Saturday. He got to stroll around the pits for a few minutes then sat in the booth with us all night. if the child is protected well, theres no issue. If he would have had to have been outside he wouldnt have made the trip.

Just answering questions from other IOW members. Certainly didn't mean to hijack the thread so sorry about your luck. I will continue to answer questions if and when they are asked. My suggestion would be to hit the ignore button so you don't have to read my posts.:16
