phil, don't know for sure but, the 1200cc will run in the evening. Now if they run first, or last. who knows. Bob, has been in contact with JT and that question has never came up I guess. If JT reads this, maybe he can get an answer from him, there is some information about the Hotel, purse on his web site. It was a mess last year but they have it all figured out for this year. Hoping for a good turn out. So if you want to race in the winter months, give this a try. Your son may have to miss a day of school to do this race. Which he may not want to do. But, hope to see you all there.

Looks like a tight bull-ring.....why run wings on a track that small?

I hear that they are going to push the track back and bank it alittle more. Also that is just hear say. If they do that it will be better to race on and the reason for wings. They don't want the Midgets to be confused with the Mini Sprints so the minis will run with wings. It would be better for the Mini Sprints to run non wing.

Thanks for the info Harry iet, we hope to have some new cars together just as soon as the new rules come out. These races are a great opertunity to shake out the bugs before the season starts. Will Kemper use the AMSA rule book or another assoc??? -Andy

this is not an A.M.S.A RACE JT is just helping his friend Bob Douglas of MOLS get cars out there. They will use their rules. and it will be a great time to test out the cars and shake out the bugs. I hear JT has some new rules, and will be posted before to much longer.Just keep an eye on his web site. and hope all will support this race and have some fun doing it.

Practice on Thur. Hot Laps on Fri for the 1200's is 3:00pm. They will run quarter midgets during the morning and early afternoon on Fri and Sat. Pit Passes are $ 40 ea day. You will be given a transponder to run and then it will be turned in at the end of the event. Last year you paid a rental fee for the transponder.

As of right now, the 1200's are first on the card, then the mod lites, and then the midgets. The A Mains for each of the 3 classes will be run at nite in front of the big crowd.

An entry form will be posted on twasthemidgets.com within the next week to 10 days. Kansas City Convention Center has gotten behind this event. Things should run a lot smoother than last year. This is a different promotional group running the event this year.

We will run wings (they do not want the 1200's confused with the midgets by new spectators to the sport), 925 lbs car and driver, no oxygen enhancing fuel additives, 1205 cc MAX (displacement will be checked). 13" wheels all around

Trailers will be unloaded and parked outside, midgets also.

My advice is if you don't think you will have fun stay home.

I like the arrangments and it sounds like a fun event, except for running with wings.

I have watched video on the website and on YouTube. It wouldn't take much to destroy an expensive wing on a tight little track like that one. And the wing will basically serve no purpose, other than to let the race fans know it is not a midget.

If they would run the 1200s without wings we'd be in.....right now I am 50/50.
