Throwback, you make the best point. While 83 is good, you would think it would be north of a hundred for what could be a once in a lifetime event. Good to see someone stirring up the ol wing/wingless pot.

It’s hard to compare car counts from 2003 to 2023. A lot has changed in 20 years. If the million this year was a non-wing race again, I would be surprised if the car count was near the 138 who showed up for the 2003 edition. If the race was in Indiana, it would draw fewer cars for a million to win than for a $1200 to win race an hour away.

There is no such thing as a "non-wing sprint car". There are called sprint cars and we have winged sprint cars.
