I'm not sure why Cottle dumped him. I can understand using the move over flag to advance your position once but when you do it for 5 or 6 laps it's time to get out of the way. I have to give it to AP for not just junking the kid, he should have but I guess if using the move over flag to pass is considered one of the top guys I'm wrong for what I said. The kid drove dirty all night. I understand he had an awesome opportunity but when you go beating your way through the field in a field like that you will loose opportunities. These guys don't forget. Like I said I have seen this kid run for years and I know he is a good shoe but he stunk up the show last night. If Bobby was in that car last night it would have been a threat to win, that thing was bad fast but what I'm getting from what you said is Cottle dumped him and he was in a house car so it's ok to drive that way lol. So wrong my friend, these guys don't forget, you'll spend a lot of time in the fence.

Kyle simply was trying to use space currently occupied by his fellow competitors. It happens in this race. I do believe he abused some people and to be honest I heard one top six finisher say that he has enough respect for Bob East to not tear up his racecar. I would, however, advise Hamilton to bring some extra parts to the Fort Wayne indoor race in December.

Damn 5 pages of this and I did'nt even get 1 mention. Oh well keep flying under the radar I guess...

Was just getting ready, Geoff.
I always assumed lapped cars, push trucks, and yes contact between cars was part of this race. Rather than trash guys a little positive should come in here someplace. Being from northern Indiana I'll give a big thumbs up for Kaiser, Nuenswander, and Fuller. All of the 64, 10 & 9 crews congrats for a fine night.:8

I gave you a shout out 24 posts ago Geoff. Nice consistent run all night and a top 5 to show for it. Congrats.:8:

I saw that there is supposed to be an award for "Most Improved". Is that for improvement from starting position? If so, it should go to Kaiser and the Speed Chasers car. They moved up 20 spots, more than anyone else. Can't find anything about who got it on the Anderson Speedway web site.

Another fun little 500. Attendance was up for sure. Lot of fun. Congrats to Wilson on the win. Awsome job. Rookie of the year Jerry Coons did an aawsome job keeping the car in 1 piece. Slam of the night goes to Windom. That was awsome! Kiser wins the night stalker award. I garuntee you most people did not realize how great of a run he had. People can complain about hamilton all they want, but I have seen that 5 car run like a bull in a china shop SEVERAL times before. BC's run was amazing. Most other contenders would have parked it early after getting tangled. Can not wait fr next year.

Could anyone tell me where I might find the timing data from the transponders on line? I would like to see some lap times as the race progressed.

We were pitted right next to them. They did all their stops with hand tools!!! Great job of staying consistent Geoff! Great job by the crew to get the car in and out of the pits as fast as they could. Seeing the excitement of their crew after the race is why I love racing sooo much. Well deserved. They busted their butts and gave it all they had. Great work by everyone working on that car, and of course by Geoff as well!

I still can't figure out why Santos was all over the back of Wilson, even though he was many laps down at the end of the race. If anyone is interested, I do have a photo that shows just HOW close.

The other thing that I have not seen any comment on and I figure is worth some kind of mention is AP's front bumper. What's next, chariot wheels?

Why didn't wilson just let Santos go once he caught him? Good spotter would have told him to let him go. It is hard to give BC credit for running hard 4 laps down ans not give Santos credit.

Well, there is "running hard", and there is this:

If I didn't work for the 98 I would say his brakes faded but they worked great all night

Santos had pitted for fuel and tires a few laps before this. We know this, as they were pitted beside us. Our spotter was watching the track well ahead of Jacob as to keep an eye out for wrecks. He wasn't watching Jacob. Just as the rest of us, who were watching Jacob, were about to tell Jacob to let Bobby go, the yellow came out.

Re: Little 500

It looks bad in the pic and I was watching it close but pretty sure we all have seen him run enough to know that Bobby wouldn't have crashed Jake. I don't think he should have been racing him that hard but Bobby knew who was in front of him I'm sure:31:

Bobby is one of "THE BEST" in the business right now IMO...
He was trying to get one of his laps back and while he had the chance to get it back with fresh tires he was letting Jake now he was there. With the spotters and radios, Jake knew who was knockin and didn't want to let him around I guess. Bobby had some bad luck during this race (part of the deal)or he would have easily been in the top four or better at the end. He was fast! There's always next year I guess.

He retired! I just heard...he's going to start doing street rods I guess. It's shame. I really liked seeing his ingiuity. It was kind of old school build your own stuff which I think is very cool!

I over heard a gentleman talk last year during the 2013,little 500,stating that he was going to try to buy the car. Not sure of his name but I think he owns the scrap yard in between fort ville and lapel? Owns a couple indoor midgets?

If this is true, the little 500 just lost something very special. Guess we will have to retire the gray shirts.

Honest-Sam 5/29/14 9:47 AM

Re: Little 500

Looked like several have retired. Right around 16 starters from last year were absent this year. Several are still racing, but I thought this to be an unusually high number of MIAs for just one year passing.

Mike Bowman still owns it. Most likely always will. Perhaps we will see it in a museum someday.
