Re: TSS 10g's Saturday.
I'll second that on Stockton winning he was dang close to winning the Hoosier Sprint Nationals at TSS
last month but just couldn't get around KTJ on the last couple laps. Definately looking forward to this one! |

I have my favorites but anyone driving a non wing sprint car is a winner in my book. I am grateful for all the sprint car teams that put on a good show for the fans. No better exciting racing than non wing.
BTW--Weather man slider has ruled out any possibility of rain for Saturday night. It is going to be a long waited fantastic night at TSS |
Where is a good place to go and watch Alabama -Texas A M game, Sat.afternoon before the race??

PAW, the Hickory Pit Stop is Alabama headquarters in Evansville. They have great BBQ and other bar food as well. Has been around since 1947 so is not some fancy, prancy sports bar with 5,000 tv sets. Is a racing bar as well with the owner a former driver of stock cars and won a track championship at Salem. Lots of racing and Alabama stuff on the walls. It is across the street from Bosse Field at the end of N. Main St.

Re: TSS 10g's Saturday.
Even though Dave Darland has had limited success at TSS, and I know it's not his favorite track, I just have a feeling that Saturday will be his night. In the event that DD doesn't come through, I feel that Kyle Cummins will be one to watch.

Re: TSS 10g's Saturday.
Here is the format and purse from the USAC entry blank.
Drivers must draw a pill at registration (1-99), heats are lined up with lowest pill draw on the pole of the first heat, the second lowest number is on the pole of the second heat, etc. Heat races will be 10 laps each. A redraw will be held following the heat races, the top six in passing points will redraw for starting positions 1—6 in the feature. The driver with the most passing points draws 1st, etc.12 Pills are used! Driver drawing the lowest number gets the pole the other 5 drivers are lined up with lowest number drawn second, third, etc. The top 16 in passing points earned in the heats will transfer to the Feature, positions 7-16 in passing points will start straight-up behind the top 6 according to passing points totals. Drivers 17th through the balance of the field will start straight up according to passing points in the semi-feature (2 semi-features might be necessary if there are enough cars) the top six (6) finishers will transfer to the feature (top three if two semi’s are needed) and start in positions 17—22. Semi-Feature will be 12 laps. Late Arrivals who do not pill draw will tag the tail of a heat and not receive passing points, just finish points, drivers not starting a heat race will receive 0 passing points. Heat races will be divided into equal groups of 8 to 10 cars or as close as mathematically possible. If there are 41 cars or more there will be a fifth heat race. If there is a scratch the row with the missing car moves straight forward. Each USAC car entrant and driver will receive feature points for this event, no other points will be awarded. PRIZE MONEY DISTRIBUTION Cars not transferring to the feature receive $100.00 each -FEATURE- 1. $10,000 4. $1,200 7. $800 10. $675 13. $600 16. $500 19. $500 2. $4,000 5. $1,000 8. $750 11. $650 14. $550 17. $500 20. $500 3. $2,500 6. $900 9. $700 12. $625 15. $500 18. $500 21. $500 22. $500 Point Fund—$1,000.00 Feature—$28,950.00 GRAND TOTAL—$29,950.00 |
Re: TSS 10g's Saturday.
What's the thought on car count? I don't care if there is 20 or 40. Either way it's gonna be awesome. My guess is 36 cars. Lets get to 100 posts before a lap is even turned.

Re: TSS 10g's Saturday.
24 cars if we get over 25 ill be very happy dont think we have seen car counts in the 30's for two years now at tri state which I could be wrong had a few drinks in between but it doesnt matter the feature is always worth admission. Now if we get 4 heats I wont be mad
