People who are looking for information don't want to sift through 40+ posts about stuff unrelated to the original thread. End of story.
Andy, Haven't heard but I would guess yes. Nicholas (sp) will probably be there, saw he ran the practice day. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: MMSA at ELDORA
I think this race is going to bring alot of cars from all over the country. I've talked to aleast 5 teams from 5 different states coming. I would like to see at least $1000 purse to win and $100 to start this race. Eldora always pays big money for the main class. We race for more than that in our go karts. We are taking a big chance of blowing engines, and killing race cars at this track. So why not pay some cash to make it worth racing at this Big Big Big track.

Re: MMSA at ELDORA
I'm sorry to say that if this race cant bring a good payout why waste are cars on it. I'd reather race at Waynesfield for less chance of killing a engine or chassis. How about Waynesfield hold a race with a nice pay out. I bet less engines would be blown, and more cars could race.

Re: MMSA at ELDORA
what will be the pay out for this race to win and to start it should
be a good purse since you are charging 20.00 for pill draw and 20.00 dollers for non members plus 25.00 pit pass this kind of entery sounds purty steep |
Re: MMSA at ELDORA
That track is way to big for the Mini Sprints. There will be more tore up motors, cars, and just hope that no one gets hurt. It don't matter if you are a good driver, set up man or not, you have to look out for the other guy or gal. A big pay out would help. Bill should have it to pay with what he is asking the guys to pay for a pill draw and if not a member another $20.00 plus their pit pass to get their money back he would have to pay alot. If I was a racer, which I was years ago I would just go and watch. and keep my car safe at home and my body in good shape. I know everyone wants to say they race at Eldora but, think getting the car or yourself hurt worth it? Good luck to each driver that does show up.

Re: MMSA at ELDORA
In the early 90's the amsa raced at the Richland Co. fairground 1 mile track in Olney, Il, Green to checker, a Kentucky driver won.
The Buckeye Mini Sprints, a 600cc group, raced at the "Fast Half" Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, OH in the mid 90's, again green to checker, Graig McGuire won. we have experienced crashes on the first lap 3 times this season on 1/4mile tracks, all caused by some form of driver error, this is what we need to avoid, don't attempt to win the race in turn one, The size of the track is not the cause of crashes, If the drivers put on a good show, they may be invited back, drive like idiot's and they won't, This race is not for the benefit of me or the MMSA, it's for the drivers who WANT to race there, the autograph session has been moved up to 4:30 to 5:30, I urge all drivers to get there early and help make this "Family Fun" nite a success for the promoter at Eldora, just remember, they chose mini sprints as a support class for this event, so. let's show support. Re: MMSA at ELDORA
You know, I try to steer clear of the AMSA vs MMSA bullshiot because we race with both.....but seriously, if you AMSA guys have a problem with running at Eldora simply shut up and don't go.
Honestly, people see right through the crap. |
Thanks everyone for your comments concerns. Hardly the point of the post.
If you are going hope to see you there, if not have fun elsewhere. If you feel like expressing more comments or concerns start your own post. Thanks Bill for all the hard work you do... These prestigious tracks make racing worth going. If we did it for money we would be doing something else. Check your cars over good, let's race. Posted via Mobile Device |
Bill, you r doing one hell of a job permoting mini sprint racing, period they have run at terre haute years ago and believe me the track is wayyyyyy more demanding on engines and cars. Keep up the good work it is very much appreciated !!!!!!!

I know that my investment advertising with the MMSA will more than pay for itself, If a racer is near L'Vill and needs exhaust work I hope they will give me a chance to compete for their business. I know that I'm not the only small business owner racing mini sprints. Look at it like this, Your add with the MMSA Eldora race would be much much less expensive than an add in the Eldora race program. It will go directly towards the Purse, that you might even have the chance to win back. Why not spend $50.00 or $100.00 and place an add for your fellow racers business. Honest Dad himself:6::6: |

Re: MMSA at ELDORA
What kind of racing format is going to be running? Are we going to get to qualify and run the program like usac with a last chance qualifier? We should really consider this so some of the cars dont get in the way of way faster cars. What about a lay over flag? WHAT ABOUT A FAST DASH FOR A-MAIN LINEUP?

Re: MMSA at ELDORA
The complete details/program, from pit pass purchase until the fireworks
is posted on the MMSA website, Eldora sets the agenda, This will be the first appearance of mini sprints on this track, how well drivers react to conditions will determine if they return. Bill May |
