Re: Lps
Well Lloyd I was gonna start by callin you names like roundmouth or twink since how you called me a smartass first but I decided not stoop to your level. Now to the important part if you've been on fire before there IS no excuse for not having the required equipment on and it doesn't matter if it's hotlaps, heat race or A-Main. I've been in an alcohol fire and an oil fire and I wouldn't wish that on anyone even you so I know first hand how important the safety equipment is. It was not my intention to piss you off in that post I was just pointing something out that needed to be addresed and I'm glad you corrected the situation. If you still want to meet me I'll be in the pits at Blomington on Friday and where ever my driver wants to go on Saturday, you'll have to pm on that day to find that out. Keep your elbows up see you next weekend.

Re: Lps
sorry everyone , I'll tell kenny too play follow the leader next time or huggy pole they call it. cole slipped up the track and kenny was racing for the lead and was going to get it ,If there is any racer in you ,you would shoot up threw the hole and go for the lead . Kenny is young and he is getting faster every week in the car . You people pay too see that and we enjoy racing . Here you go Hi # posters have fun!!:checkered:
|
Re: Lps
theres nothing wrong with kenny trying to make that pass for second place, but it sure in the hell was not cole whit's falult that kenny crashed. looked to me like cole got a little loose and kenny pushed up a little and they got together. that kind of stuff happens. hope you guys get the car fixed soon so you can make try for another run to the front.
|
Re: Lps
Your right cole did get loose and slid out and kenny drove under him , neither driver wanted too lift . Hope he does'nt get mad if next time it the other way and kenny does not let him pass , thats racing . I won't respond to post again . I've cried enough about it , let the race car do the talking !!:applaud:

Re: Lps
After sifting through all these posts I finally got to the end.
Shane H. Congrats for your back to back wins. You know as well as I that you work at putting yourself in position to win and that is exactly what you did. You've had your fair share of feature wins taken away from you, this one was a bit of a pay back for those lost that was not your doing. I wish you all the best the rest of 08. George Wilkins |
Re: Lps
One thing about Shane's win that I do not recall seeing posted before. After his victory he went up the steps from the track to the fence, reached over the fence and gave his trophy to a young girl standing on the other side. You could tell that his actions made this little girl's night.
Great job Shane, hope to see you each week. |
Re: Lps
2. During hotlaps, they were looking for the 21K of Krockenberger. I heard over my scanner some track worked say that the owner threw him our for sparying him with dirt during wheel packing. I assume the track worker meant DA when he said the owner. Sure enough the 21k hauler left a little later .
[/QUOTE] I recieved phone call eariler today from Shawn Krockenberger wanting me to relay what he said the true story is that he was not kicked out for spraying mud at DA or anyone at all. Shawn said he was not going to pack the track in all day and burn up all his fuel because they keep over watering the track each week expecially as high is racing fuel is now, so he didn't stay out there very long and so he pulled off the track and then he said that DA came back to his pit and they had a discussion and without going into all the details of it end result was Kevin one of Shawn's helpers was kicked out then Shawn said that he was not going to support DA anymore after the way that he and his crew was treated so he loaded up and left on his own free will. Shawn, I hope I did get it all correct its been a few hours since you called me and I had a few other calls since then. These guys have been nice and helpful to me through out the years and I will miss racing with them. So good luck to you guys. I do agree with Shawn I hate wheel packing because it takes so long and wastes so much fuel and we come to the track each night with our cars prepared to race with everything greased and lubed up for better performance and then end up looking like we went Mudd Bog racing before we even have hot laps.expecially when I am on a less than shoestring budget. I do have to say that the track conditions have been better when it comes to race time this year and we have only had to pack the track twice this season so things as of racing conditions are much better. and hole hole in turn one was gone this week as Roger Hughes said on Racin with D.O. show that they dug up the track in turn one and repaired it. So don't anyone cast any stones at me because I was just relaying the message to set the record straight by the 21k of Shawn Krockenberger himself. DP www.dannypollock.com |
Re: Lps
Was there a few weeks ago. That place is looking pretty bad this year. looked like there was about 200 people in the main grandstand. Also do they own a mower and weed eaters.
|
Re: Lps
There was a little more to it than Shawn told you Danny. ( I know you are just relaying), DA did go to his pits, because he slung mud on him and the Flagman both, not because he pulled off. While he was there, his crewman began cussing DA, thus resulting in him getting thrown out, Shawn therefore followed, It is correct though that Shawn himself did not get thrown out.
While I agree, I hate to pack as well, (back when all classes had to do it), but when Bob F. tells them to put more water on, that's what the workers do. Unfortunately that leads to packing if we want to race. I can only hope that the track conditions continue to improve as they have so far this year. |

Re: Lps
Why in the hell is anyone ******** about running the track in for ten minutes I myself thought it was a hell of a racy track the last two weeks. Three weeks ago they were all ******** cause it took rubber and was dusty including myself. Give em a little credit it is pretty rare there is still some moisture left in a feature around here and with the draw deal you have to have a little racetrack to pass anyone. Kroc is probable just pissed cause he can't block the whole field all night when the whole racetrack is good. The guys preparing the track are just paid to work there on saturday and have been giving it a good effort for what they have. Let em water the piss out of it it will end soon enough.

Re: Lps
Guys I think we can all agree that the track is far and above better than it was several years ago when three of the four corners featured craters and huge rocks. This year's track has been near perfect comparative to those days and while I don't have to wipe my car down after packing the track, even packing is taking far less time than it used to.
Even as little as last year, the track took sometimes 40 or more minutes and 20 cars at a time out there to get the track even worked into manageable shape. So I think that the time and effort that has been put into working on the track during the week has been pretty commendable. I was late leaving the track after the race several weeks ago and they were already out beginning to till the track back up, which never used to happen. I think if you think back on all the driveshafts, springs, A-arms, ball joints and twisted frames that the track ate in year's past, that 20 minutes or so of packing this year for a racy track isn't too much to deal with. Rather be annoyed at a little spent time packing than be wide-eyed when I had to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to fix what a rough track broke each week. I may just be a photographer and writer and not a driver, but that's just my opinion. |
