Re: Marv Fish
Thoughts and prayers are with Marv. First talked to Marv on IOW several years ago when he asked about my father. Turned out they went to school together when they were young. Has been a good friend ever since. Get well soon Marv.

Re: Marv Fish
We are just learning about Marv's condition tonight. Our entire Family and Team pass on our best wishes and prayers to Marv and his Family. Without exception, Marv was one of the first to openly accept these "Yankees" to Indiana. Get well soon Marv. We need you stalking the pits at the Burg...

Re: Marv Fish
Marv's update: He is warm and they are slowly weaning him off some of the drugs. I took his hand and asked him to open his eyes and he did!!!!! Not all the way but enough for me, it went like that all afternoon, I got him to raise his left arm so did his "pretty" nurse, Ashley. He will be pleased when he actually sees her for the first time, why does he get all the pretty ones, I wonder? Now don't get too excited, we have a long road to travel, and we are taking baby steps, but if everyday goes like today he will be one of the luckiest guys I know. (besides being married to me). Keep the prayers coming, we appreciate all of them and the concern from all our family and friends. I am on cloud nine, flying high for the first time since Wednesday. Thank you all. Love, Jude
Jude, asked me to keep you all updated. Thanks Dave P.s. Keep the prayers coming!! |

Re: Marv Fish
Marv's update: Yestrday they turned meds off and did some tests, asking him to squeese their hand and wiggle his toes and smile, he did two of the three, smiling no, not yet. They had to stop when BP went through the roof, so back to sleep for Marvie. They took wires out of his groin area so that he could be in a half way sitting position, He is off the IV BP meds and holding his own, in the next two days they will remove the ventilator and see what happens. He is still critically sick anything can still happen but he is progressing with each little step they take, so one can only pray. Thank you all for your kindness and prayers, please keep them coming. I can speak for Marv and tell all of you that we love you and can hardly wait to be with you all again. Friends at Willie's drink a tall one for Marv, he would like that. Until next time.....Jude

Re: Marv Fish
Wow, I have been out of the loop for a few days. I am so sorry to be reading all of this they have been through but the key word here is through. I am thrilled to read that he is through the initial set back and doing better. We will for sure be praying. Marv was always a friend of TP's when he would be in the pits and we hope for him to be back on his feet and back at the track soon enjoying the racing that he loves SO much.

Re: Marv Fish
Marv update: Marv is waking up, he will turn his head in the direction of your voice, he looks into space which they said that is normal for the meds that he is on because of the ventilator. The brain wave wires are coming off sometime tonight. The ventilator could be removed as early as tomorrow but Tuesday is the due date. The staff is amazed at how well he is doing in the short span of time. He tried to say something to Doug but all I got from him were frowns, I will take anything at this point. He still is very sick and we have a long way to go but today has been a very good day, Thank you God, miracles really do happen, I am watching one with Marv. Please continue to keep him in your prayers and thank God for hearing you. Love to all, Jude

I certainly do believe in miracles. Now let's have the next one be for Marv. Still thinking and praying for a speedy recovery. Thanks again for the updates.

Re: Marv Fish
Marv update: He is very agitated today so again he was sedated, but he is waking up more frequently and of course he is fighting the ventilator, they are trying different meds to find just the right combination so that he will interact with them for a longer period of time. Time is a funny thing, everything is done in TIME. Maybe in the next couple of days the ventilator will be history, then maybe he will communicate with us better. Dr.s said he is very strong and is doing very well but, there's that BUT again, he has a long row to hoe. I will take whatever I get as far as Marvie is concerned, I really miss him. Please keep the prayers coming. Love to all. Jude

How's Marv doing? Hopefully much better!!

Re: Marv Fish
Marv Update: Today he knew who I was and signed to me his love. I cried and he frowned, I told him they were happy tears and then he smiled. The breathing tube came out today around 4:30 and Marv is very happy although still a bit droopy from the drugs , they will leach out of his system in about 24 hours. I stayed with him till 6pm and we spoke briefly, he asked if he could go home tonight and I said no not tonight, this went on for a couple of hours so I saw he was tiring so I told him I would be back tomorrow, He signed he loved me and I kissed him goodbye. I left and got lost, I was in Walnut Hills, I also drove past the stadium parking garage for the Reds, Monique (the GPS) did it! I saw a sign for I 71 South and unplugged Monique, jammed her in my purse and finally got home an hour and a half later! What an adventure! I am pooped, out of gas and no minutes on my cell, overall not a bad day, don't ya think? Jude

That's good news. Thanks Dave!
