Making the nearly 4hour trip as i send this, for my first visit to lawrenceburg. Cant wait to see some sprint car racing even if it is winged....but most of all i want to thank all the people who have served, are serving, will serve, or who have layed down the ultimate sacrifice to even give me the chance to enjoy this wonderful and mostly over looked holiday. Going to leave the house in a few to make the drive over to the track (10 min.) Usually not a wing fan, but how can you pass up seeing Steve, Sammy, and the rest of the group.

just thought i'd mention the talk i had with bob and mahalia kinser. definatly had a few laughs. talked about all the beer drinking in the pits back then (bob to) and everything in between. mahalia still looks pretty tough as i've witnessed her whippin up on a few when i was a kid.lol wanted bob's autograph but forgot my 1960's burg program. not big on autograph's but that one would have meant more than anyone in the pits!!! old school...
