Some of you will go through Holton and surrounding communities on the way to and from TCRP this weekend. Please take a moment to remember the people who lost their lives as well as the injured from the tornado they had 4 weeks ago today. Not to mention the people that were spared their lives but lost all their posessions.:(

Well my weather sense that got to me to many complete races when rain was widespread last year. Tells me todays race will probably run. Spotty showers or pop up thunderstrorms followed by a front which may be severe but for a half hour to 45 minutes and it will be over.

See you there! Shortbus, Save me a seat. Not doing pits this year.

Better yet, Stop at town hall or the general store, Maybe buy something or see if they have donation boxes. I know lots of people who helped down there in many ways, Still getting back on their feet could take years for some of the families.

treecitytornado 3/30/12 9:40 AM

I will be the first driver to step and say I will pass my helmet in the stands tonight or tomorrow to raise money for all those affected by the storms and tornadoes! Just give us a short intermission tonight and I would be glad to.
Thanks,

Just noticed that the weatherman isn't nearly as confident on his forecast. Last night they were predicting 80% chance of rain both today and tonight. The latest forecast is calling for 40% chance of rain between 6-9 PM.

Not saying that it won't rain but where did the other 40% go?:3::14::15:

Sorry to hear that. I am hoping we can get the doubleheader in this weekend. I really need a shot of methanol. Looking forward to your return home to Indiana. Until then, have a cold one (or two) for me.:32:

Probably 30-40 tonight and I'd expect at least 45-50 tomorrow night. Last year was 1500 less to win and I think there was 47 sprinters. I'd expect a DRY track tomorrow though. 3 support classes plus sprinters...gonna need a lot of water! Hopefully they water it all day tomorrow.

The other 40% is now lined up in 2 lines across central Indiana. From the angle of it looks like if it holds together it will hit down there after 6. Not sure I want to bet a $60 tank of gas that they will get it in.

So much for my spidey sense. However we were having a ball through two heats a heck of a light show and some killer racing. Only 27 cars in the pits but quality all! I really expect about 35-40 tomorrow.

C-Ya there!

Waiting for hot laps to start. 33 sprinters. The weather really came around. Track is in good shape. Lots and lots of fans in the stands.

Pretty big hole developing in turn one. Probably going to bite a couple cars tonight.

Heat 1 is stacked. Brady Short, Dave Darland, Jon Stanbrough, Robert Ballou, Brett Burdette, Casey Riggs, Jeff Bland Jr and Chase Briscoe. Yea. Wow.

Brady Short over and out of the ball park in qualifying.

Going to be a Loooong delay now to fix the fence. Really should have fixed the hole before qualifying. You could see it coming. It was right in the groove. Feel bad for Brady. Glad he's ok.

Don't know why Mason doesn't invest some money into a catch fence.
