Thats what the announcer said and it definately looked that way. Levi braked coming off of 4 to take the green and windom got airborne trying to take off. Unless Levi just didn't go yet and Windom got on the throttle early. Not exactly sure.

he was jawing off to Darland during the red flag and the fans started booing him. Then he started jawing off to the grandstands on the backstretch and a bunch of them followed him into the pits lol

Ballou should know better than to mouth DD especially at Kokomo. Dave has lots of fans anyway but especially at Kokomo. I was booing him here at my computer too. I knew the fans would not like what he was doing.

Way to go Levi! Great charge from 10th. Tough luck for Stanbrough he put on an awesome show coming from 20th. Coons was fun to watch too before the top went away.

Our feed never came back. Everytime we tried to get back on it would say off air. But, we did see all but 3 laps!!! Thanks Dean, USAC and Kokomo Speedway. We are GRATEFUL!!

The top went away in like 2 laps. It was there all night then, it just vanished into thin air!!!! Can't remember who it was that drove into the wall in 4 when Ballou crashed (maybe Bland or Bloom) under caution but what was up with that? Acted like he had no steering or brakes. Must have been texting!:14:

Bland got into Ballou after Robert had spun and broke something on the front end. Looked like it didn't actually come apart until he tried to turn and it took him into the wall.

Robert Ballou enough is enough. Many fans are sick and tired of your behavior on the track after you get out of your car. I think USAC may have a rule or something that you can not enter anyone else's pit and cause a problem or start a fight. They should create the same rule for on the track.....meaning if you go up to another driver in their car and attempt to create a problem or damage their car you should be subject to the same penalty as you would entering someone else's pit.

All in all it was another great night of racing at Kokomo. Yes, it did slick off and get dustty the last half of the feature but up until that point.....WOW! The heats and b were some of the, if not the best I have ever seen with hard racing throughout the entire field. Wish The O,Conners would have worked the track in the downtime and showed everyone what a race track is supposed to be like for a feature. Met the swordsman and he had helmet on ready to still someones ride!:8:

DD has given a wheel to many people this year, Ballou was another to the list of victims... DD had a careless move earlier in the night look like a days of thunder charge into 3 and 4, but mistakenly made it through clean. Seems to be loosing his patience a bit much lately.

Levi's I didnt block anyone coming from 10th to win comment was great!

HMMM. Two races and two on track "discussions". Someone get the helmet whacking smiley face icon put up here. :3:

Question: Why did the official sit there watching Ballou taunt DD and then the crowd? I'm sure the official was aware that Ballou was not inviting Dave over for dinner. No idea what happened, did not see it, wont comment on the incident.

Still a good race. Short was sure getting around there pretty dam good. Levi was fast, but Short was coming.

No one has mentioned Cottle, he started almost LAST, and ran 4th. To me that was the drive of the night. Would have been interesting to see what JS could have done, he was on the move, til he hit the fence.

With a track like that the veterans sure shine, and still manage to put on a great show for the fans.

Thoughts from Kokomo... USAC had better do something about this red flag rule. Two officials were on the backstretch watching the five or six from Chris Windom's crew work on his car (supposed to be four). Before that, it looked like guys from other cars were coming through the crowd on the backstretch bleachers to talk to their driver through the fence. I love to watch Chris run and do well, but call the infraction. Was a little disappointed that they didn't put more of an effort to help the drivers see the outside fence. How many cars need to hit it before you fix it?? Other than that, a great show and can't wait for the next...

I was front and center for the whole Ballou/DD thing. I was sitting in the pit stand so I thought I would get up and check it out. It was quite entertaining to say the least....some interesting ways to use the f-bomb. I get the heat of the moment….there isn’t a driver out there that hasn’t had words with another. There is time and place though. Ballou telling several people along the fence to f-off when they yelled at him to get away wasn’t smart. His gesture to the crowd wasn’t too cool either. The USAC official needed to get his ass off the 4-wheeler and get him out of there. Just telling him to get away wasn’t doing any good. It shouldn’t have taken another official running from the other end of the track to restore order. That didn’t help either. Like I said, I get heat of the moment words, but that was a pretty ugly deal.

Are you kidding me? Robert Ballou is awesome. He is allowed to express his opinion and he felt as if DD made a bonehead move. Just because it happend at Kokomo he is not allowed to confront him? Thats a bunch of BS.. What's the crowd going to do? Beat him up? I doubt it. Keep racin hard Robert!
