I will be at Tri State. I hate to miss the Ky speedway IndyCar race but I can’t skip the 40 lapper at Haubstadt. I assume that Stanbrough, Ballou, Short, Bland, and Hunter% would all be at Haubstadt going for the 5k because of their success at the track. But with there being many tracks with good paying shows I wasn’t 100% sure. Can anyone confirm these drivers?

Hunter didn't run anywhere in INDY last weekend that I know of.Ballou was going to run Lawrenceburg last week.Stanbrough ran Danville.
I'll be at the "BURG"!

Does it cost anymore to sit in the Fishburger pavillion? I am another geriatric gentleman.

The only additional expense I have incurred is making sure I have 50/50 tickets.:) The girls seem to flock up under the big red "A" to see Marvelous Marv often and we are hoping to someday win enough to buy some race tickets. After 35 years of buying 50/50 tickets, I haven't won a thing.:11; What that really means is that big payday is coming.:3::14::15::5: Hope to see you Saturday at the Burg.:6:

I should say that I pay dearly for sitting there.:19: Seems to be that I am currently in the penalty box while Kelly on the other hand has a reserved seat forever.;) Right Marv?

I should forewarn you that a certain postal worker from Columbus, who shall remain nameless, usually perches in Section A as well. He hasn't gone postal on anyone yet, but the key word there is yet!:3::10: Don't say you didn't know that ahead of time.:)

Re: A huge Saturday August 1st

It's only Thursday and I already have the Silverado packed and gassed up for the grueling 1.3 mile trip to Da 'Burg.

Well, it doesn't cost any more in dollars, but the amount you lose in terms of self respect, social standing, moral compass, etc. can be considerable. Come on by Dave.....with luck word won't get back to Columbus. And be careful not to trip over the Depends packages.

A couple other observations:

1. Aero is indeed a big dude, young too, but catch him late when the Yuengling has slowed his reflexes and fouled up his footwork and you might have a shot. :18:

2. With all the 50/50 tickets I have bought I haven't even had the right color ticket as yet for a winner, much less the correct number....................and it's been worth every penny. :8:

3. Don't worry about that postal worker (and I use the term "worker" loosely). Just be sure they don't run out of cheeseburgers. :19:

I'll be making the grueling drive from Evansville to Haubstadt this Saturday. It better not rain this time.

But seriously folks, my broken stove notwithstanding, doesn't TSS stand for Tri-State Speedway which is near Haubstadt, IN which is where my friend Ron Miller said he was going Saturday??

Or, is my friend Dan yankin' my lower extremity??

Hey, can someone take me home?? Does anyone here know where I live??? I must really be off. Where's my meds??

Most of us locals, or at least some of us, still call the place Haubstadt, instead of the actual name of the facility. Anyway, I'll be at TSS and hope we can get a break with the weather this time.
