But you also for get it is easier to start earlier on that sunday show to get people home which you can not do on a regular basis with a weekday show because of the work week.....

Great point. :8: I agree. :6:I suppose it's just the idea of being THE ONLY track racing on a Thursday in the Illiana area....it's just a very attractive idea, but you're right. Time wise there are crunches on both ends instead of just at the end of the night.:22:

For what it's worth I'll throw in my 2 cents, and in today's economy makes it in the red.....I agree with alot of you to move it to Sunday's and start an hour earlier. With the days getting shorter now (ugh) we'll lose some of that daylight anyway in the mid-summer and fall of the years to come...at least you would have more time to prepare on a weekend after Church, or whatever functions you may have... than rushing after work on a Friday..and those unfortunate enough to have to work on a weekend will still maybe have time to make it.

:23:I'm with ya. :6: It's definitely a NEAT IDEA:2:, but perhaps there just to many challenges associated with trying to race on Thursday evenings?:11: Would it be logistically possible for the track prep crew, drivers, and fans to "put it all together" and have success on Thursday evenings?:11: It'd definitely be a gamble. Would it be a gamble worth at least testing out?:22:

if i was joe i would keep vcs going as is.and i wouldnt fix lps in till da was out completly.because fixing it would bring the value up for da to cash in on.

Just a stupid Modified guy here but here is what I would do. I think the midweek thing might work but you need to get it away from the weekend so cars can be reprepped for Friday etc. The first 8 races. I would use as an experiment. My Schedule would look like this
Race 1: Friday
Race 2: Wednesday
Race 3: Sunday
Race 4: Friday
Race 5: Wednesday
Race 6: Sunday
Race 7: Make up day
Race 8: Make up day

Now notice You could do race 1-3 in a 2 week time frame etc. But at the end of 1 month you would know what is more beneficial for the race track. Some would say this would make the points hard for someone to chase so during this time frame you say only your best 3 or 4 nigths count towards the standings. Thats my 2 cents worth. :31:

I think what pushtruck said makes the most sense to me. But Mr. Spiker needs to do what makes the most sense to him.

I agree with you Broc, even tho it would be running against Kokomo I think it would work best for the most people, but it will all be up to Mr. Spiker afterall. Dave

If I were Joe Spiker I would hire illiniopenwheel to post every few days on this subject that has already been hashed over so it will appear at the top once again.
