Not likely. Seems the arena has a 2 AM curfew. Which is in 45 minutes exactly.

The arena? I haven't the slightest idea but they've been running since 10 AM this morning. Or is it yesterday morning, now?

I feel sorry for the Micros, Outlaws, and Dwarfs. They've been there since 10 AM and probably will not get to run their Feature

“Friday feature slated for Saturday Morning at Kemper

Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 19---Friday night's scheduled 40-lap 'Twas the Midget before Christmas feature at Kemper Arena, will be run Saturday Morning, due to curfew regulations imposed by the City of Kansas City.
A total of 82 cars participated in the opening night event sanctioned by the O 'Reilly POWRi National Midget Series. Leading the field to the start of the feature will be the front row of Dave Darland and Cory Kruseman. Brad Loyet, and J.J. Yeley will comprise row two of the 20-car starting field, which will pay $5,000-to win .
Also slated for Saturday morning will be the feature for the "O Reilly POWRi Micro Sprints. All five divisions will also run the regularly scheduled program of events for Saturday afternoon and evening.


SUMMARY
40-lap Feature: to be completed Saturday Morning Dec. 20.



12-lap B Feature Winners: Brad Kuhn, Jerry Coons Jr.

10-lap C Feature Winners: Dave Camfield Jr., Caleb Armstrong.
8-lap D Feature winners: Davey Ray, Bubba Altig.

8-lap Heat Race Winners: Eddie Martin, Dave Darland, Chris Walker, Brad Loyet, Kevin Swindell, Cory Kruseman, Chris Windom, Andrew Felker, Kuhn, Coons Jr.

Just curious.......Why is there a 2am curfew on an indoor race. Is that bedtime for everyone? Why not 3 or 4 ? Just seems kind of stange in a big city like that.

The problem with this race is the track is way to small. almost no banking. I cant belive nobody up here has a tape measure!

Haha... fortunately he will not be named the third. He will be named Cale David. I know Dave had some motor problems and didn't finish very well, i'm not sure where, but Jerry said he lapped him twice. It's a bummer! They are teammates this weekend!

Haha "the third" just doesn't have the same ring to it as Jr. Jerry says with a name like Cale he has to like racing...i'm hoping maybe he would rather just be a race fan than an actual driver. But somehow I doubt it will turn out that way!

Everyone talks about how they would race 24/7 and now with the chance to run 48 hours in a row, they shut the lights off. What else where they going to do? When was the last time a midget feature ran at 10 in the morning?

Eldora was a long night working on a team.. It was fun but when you are only racing a midget and you trapped into and then have to try and get your trailer out of the swamp on top (a little scary) it was not to much fun. Then when you unload on Monday and with mud on the walls or the top of the trailer from putting the tires in the rack it is no longer any fun. If I remember correctly we spent 3 FULL days just trying to get everything clean so we wouldnt track the mud into the shop.

I heard that sites with these goggle ads get .10 cents just to open and close them.

Try it and see what happens, there is some cool stuff .

So if true, Help IOW out and the other sites you like that has them. .10 cent adds up after a while.

Oh man!! I'm sure it was hard on the teams! On the other side of that coin Dave was racing all 4 classes and I know it was a very long night for him too!
But I sure had fun!!:applaud::checkered:

The curfew is actually 11 PM. Kemper let them run 3 hours over time which I think is incredibly generous and the arena should be commended.

It also goes to show that not even entertainment and stick and ball venues are immune to the dreaded curfew. It's imposed by the city government and I'm sure it has to do with preventing noise, traffic, and other confusion from big events that may run late.
