That you don't realize your folly in this discussion is easily explained now, seeing how you are obviously out of your damn mind. As for my background in racing, I first went to a track at the age of 8. I have been hooked ever since. My father owned a race team shortly thereafter, and drove for a few years himself. I became an official at a local racetrack in the foothills of California at the age of 10, running the scoreboard and being in charge of signaling the flagman for the white flag, and then by the age of 14 found my true passion...Shooting video of auto racing. I have been at it 25 years, and if I do say so myself, am one of the, if not THE premiere auto racing videographer on the planet. I am VERY good at what I do. I have been responsible for a sizable portion of the short track highlights provided for television over the past 15 years, and am THE ONLY videographer who shoots every event today just like Dick Wallen did...I treat EVERY race I shoot as if it is a historical event, because it is. One day, when I am long gone, my footage will be floating around for people to reminisce about the good old days, much the way Dick's videos do now. So, in essence, while I have accomplished a great deal, and have had a great career, the true scope of greatness that is my body of work is still yet to fully reach it's potential. The upside on my career at this point is enormous. The best days are yet to come. Unlike you, whose "glory days" (if you can call them that, I use the term loosely) are but a distant memory. Memories you must exaggerate in order to attempt to have relevance now, I might add. You are pathetic. And please, stop asking me to kiss your ass. You couldn't get another human being anywhere near it, and no amount of begging will change that, old man. And we all know it... Alright. I am headed to California. Swipe away at me all ya like, but I assure you, it has no effect on me whatsoever. I just consider the source. This has been fun. Good day to all. Dean Mills - "West bound and down" |

Not because Kevin's work is sloppy by any means, but because it becomes increasingly difficult to gather statistics as you travel back in time as I've tried to do occasionally. And Kevin's not looking for just Ron Fisher's stats -- he's trying to catalog every pertinent sprint car race ever run. Quite an undertaking, indeed. |
Re: 2008 oval nationals purse
It's a shame that a little more respect isn't given here to Duke, weather you like him or not, he ran Sprint Cars when it meant something to run a Sprint Car. I was there the night he won his only USAC race, and I admit I am not the biggest Duke Cook fan in the world but I was cheering for him as hard as I could when he passed Bigelow in the Armstrong mold car (on I think the last lap?) for the win. If you guys weren't around back then you have no idea what Sprint Car Racing was compared to today. There is no comparison! I think the deal with Rob Hoffman was supposed to be a joke and you all took it wrong. Take it easy on him he is part of the history of Sprint Car racing
