I could be wrong, but I'm not sure he chose to quit running pavement. He and the Pace team parted ways (didn't Ryan return for awhile ?) and he is maybe looking to pick up something for '09. I think the perception is that Dave is getting a little old to be doing this (we all know that's BS) when he is the most popular and one of USAC's best, bar none. He can get the job done on dirt or pavement.

I'd like to see Benic back with a pavement car and put Dave in it for next year.:thumb

I'll be there. Can't pass up my favorite USAC sprints at my favorite track.

Gregg, I hope I finally meet you in person this Sunday. The IOW members should meetup after hot laps say behind the souvinier area.

Glad to be seeing Jacob Wilson race one more time before the year is out.

Dave has been approached by some good teams to run different races for the rest of the year but he has decided to run only the races that he has time for. He definately has some things in the works for "09 so dont rule out pavement racing just yet! Thanks for asking!

I am going to this event, along with two other guys who are flying in from California.

I would like to take my hot rod to Jungle Park as this is my home county. Logistics are going to put the kabash on this idea however........
