Does Kenny Schraeder and when he is here Kenny Wallace get an appearance fee for racing modifieds or do they sign in and pay the pit pass money and only receive the purse like everyone else? I have always wondered because the winning purse to win a UMP race hardly seems worth it to tow as far as they do to race here.

Every time I hear of Schrader running a mod somewhere, the "appearance money" is mentioned.

There was a $5,000 to win Modified show in Illinois two weeks ago that drew 65 cars, and he ran an hour north against 10 modifieds or so for $600 to win.

Just taking a guess here, but the cars are likely based in the St Louis area considering both are from there and the number of races they run around in the Midwest every year. No idea though on appearance fees. I'm pretty sure Schrader would show up where he wants regardless.
