I wonder why they didn't rant on Davey Hamilton too? Heck, he drove those weird cars with the engines hanging out. Oh wait. He still does :) Racing at the highest levels has become a complete joke. I find it hard to watch any off it anymore. I know I'm bias, and by no means is he the only one, BUT. Someone with the talent, and record of BS III, shouldn't have to still be barnstorming the country trying to eek out a living. So far this year he's raced, indoor midgets, NWMT, Oswego Supers, ROC Mods, Winged Sprints, Champ Cars, etc. I'm sure there are other drivers who have done the same. BC DESERVES everything that's being offered to him at Indy. We should of seen DD there, T.Hines and the lists goes on. Instead we have the sons, and grandsons of past drivers with unlimited funding. And trust fund kids who's families move to NC to chase the dream. When the average fan realizes that they will never have the chance to compete. No matter how great they may be, they will quickly move on to another sport. I believe it's why the number of seats being sold for races is way down, and dropping every year. Add a couple of yaking buffoons in Goodyear and Cheevers, and you get what were seeing now :( I don't care what the teams have to say. INDY should be able to bring 40 cars to qualify. They just don't try, and those who would be interested in a one race deal see all the BS and decide to pass.

I was reading the Boston Herald today and it was announced that Indycar is planning to race on the Boston waterfront in 2016. It would only be 20 miles away from me. But I don't care. This how I feel about it :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

Hope everyone has a great week out in Indiana chasing all the races this week :6:

Jonr, you make a valid point. I'm not saying there wouldn't be a learning curve. I don't remember the king of the outlaws having a real tough time with it when he ran there. I think what pisses most of us off is the condescending tone of these guys, like the guys I mentioned don't have the ability to do it. It's very easy to see that is simply false, history proves it. And the guys we've seen recently at Eldora, and Terre haute, and irp, continue to prove it.

I still say Bullcrap to their comments and views.
Wasn't Larson on the Winning team of the 24hrs of Daytona? not only that, I believe he made the pass for the lead at least twice. Probably nothing closer to Indycar in America than the GP.

Just a Indycar troll who also today made excuses for the price increases for a race that may not get a full field next year.

There is no doubt in my mind that many of our short track drivers could be successful at the Speedway if they were given the same opportunities that some of these trust fund candy asses have been given. Perhaps someone could inform Cheever and Goodyear that Sprint Car and Midget guys are at an aero disadvantage because of the trailer they have pull behind them for their cajones:21:

This is what you get when you take the Silver Crown cars out of the points championship. And attorneys running the show.

Context or not, The way they were stating it was that Short trackers couldn't cut it at this level.

I agree several things are different. Leaning the car out on the fly by push button, shifting, Draft and other things but I see INDYCAR DOING NOTHING TO IMPROVE the the number of participants.

Having a Simulator or even a couple track cars that could be leased a few times a year could help someone seeking to make indy and also give that someone the incentive to go out and secure the fund or team to get there in the first place.

Really, Bump day used to be a dozen or more trying to knock their way in, Not one car that didn't have much of a chance in the first place.

If it was all that popular anymore other than being a one day "Festival" despite the $$$ they're be more than enough to try and coverage would be greater than a web stream half the people that have cable cant even get access too.

Remember when Qualifying had a hundred grand in the stands? I bet there wasn't a weekday MLB crowd.
