Re: OLD BALL PARK-16th st

Just like a lot of people, I tend to have those "big ideas" that can't miss..... If only I had a gazzilion $'s to do it.

I'll share one (since I will personally never have the $ to do it) :( . But! before I do, I want to tell that person who has the gazzilion $'s to invest in it.... I want to run it AND promote it!!

Bill Simpson bought all that property right across the street from I.R.P. (yes, I said I.R.P.). Then proceeded to do nothing with it, but put it up for sale.

That location would be an ideal place for a dirt track, for the immediate Indianapolis area!

I could go on about the hundreds reasons it would be great, and do well, but most can figure that out.

Mr. Gazillions, call me, let's talk!! :6: :39:

Kim and I got married in Danny Drinan's shop.
Lunched at Grindstone Charlie's with Preacher Ron and Marilyn, Eddie and Sandy, DK and Shirley.
Went to midget race at 16th Street Speedway.
Then went on our honeymoon!

I recall a unique track watering system that hooked up to the infield. Anyone else remember it?

I've already embarrassed myself; no sense making it worse by having Kim show me up :14:
