Re: USAC racing this winter?

East Bay and Volusia have released there Feb schedules and USAC is not on either one of them. That pretty much just leaves Ocala and the owner after last year stated USAC would not be back, so who knows.

Re: USAC racing this winter?

Does anyone know why USAC doesn't stay at a venue during Speedweeks in Florida?

It seems that they only run a track a couple of years 'till they no longer run there. Is it USAC or is it the tracks.

We flew down to Florida specifically to attend USAC racing and attended the USAC shows at Ocala all three nights last February and the car counts were good and the grandstands were full enough that everyone should have made some money.

I understand that there was a bit of a pissing contest going on at Ocala last February, but if there is enough money being made normally those things can get worked out.

One would think that if money is to be made USAC could land somewhere that they could form a tradition like the sprints, late models and modified's have at East Bay and Volusia Speedway Park.

I believe that your post answers your question. I personally believe it is about attitude.

Patti, what is ASCS2?

ASCS2 is 600cc micros, and they usually run a stock class, an open class, a nonwing class and a restrictor class when they have a stand alone show, but when they run on the same bill with big cars they usually don't run all those classes
