Juan had an interesting comment in the New York Times saying that his experience in open wheel racing prepared him to be able to quickly get out of the car. Said it was something he had to practice at the beginning of each season.
I remember that Gary Bettenhausen had to demonstrate to USAC officials his ability to quickly get out of a car before he was allowed to race again following his 1974 crash.
I wonder if everyone is going to make fun of him for that remark.

Wonder if it was a driveline problem or axle, as jaun said he was in forth gear and you could see sparks under the car before it shot right.

Did you realize Juan Montoya wrecked his race car, destroyed a safety truck, blown up a jet helicopter engine AND set Daytona International Speedway on fire.......and he still beat Danica Patrick in the race? LMAO!

How many NASCAR drivers does it take to blow up a jet dryer?....Just Juan!
