What is it with your negative comments constantly? You want racing to thrive yet you drive it into the ground by all of these things you say are raping the racing world. Maybe you should try to go help a team some weekend and actually realize the fact that even though there are low points in every sport, people still love it for what it is. Do you even go to races Deanna because I have never even heard you mention enjoying a certain race or this/that a particular event. Serious question. |
I had the privilege of driving many different classes of openwheel cars in my life. None was more fun than driving a non-winged 410 on dirt. Unfortunately I had to give it up since I could no longer afford it. I don't revel in the fact that the sport became to expensive for me to contine participating as a driver. What good comes from being angry about something you can't control? Sorry to get so off topic, but what Im trying to get across is this. Enjoy yourself, and don't get upset over things you have no control over. So what a racing school is advertising in a way you disagree with,so what a racing sanctioning body operates in a way that some think isn't bettering the sport. I believe the purpose of life is to leave a positive impact on the people around you. Negativity solves nothing. Embrace life, help someone out whether its sponsoring a race team or simply donating money to your favorite charity.

Re: Indianapolis Racing Shools
If you are a writer, and so passionate about racing you should get involved. Why don't you buy a ticket to a race, supporting a local track, help an underfunded racer with their PR and sponsorship proposals. Big money racing already has established writers like Robin Miller and Curt Cavin who have the name, age, experience, and contacts to write a novel. You gotta start somewhere, and why not follow the careers of some real good, really deserving locals. Some of the posters on here write.
You will notice a lot of people have all the answers, yet don't do one single thing besides buy a ticket, sit in the same seat and complain every week. If you do get involved, you can become a thankless volunteer, spending your own time, money and effort, and at the end of the day you walk away knowing you helped the sport you love. If you are gonna stay hung up on Indianapolis and Indycar racing just do a google search for indycar forum and I am sure you will find plenty of opinions and experts out there. As for your original post, you won't find much sanctity on the "internets". The real world has a lot more to offer. Just be glad you live in an area with so much racing history, and more importantly so much racing a couple hours outside your door. |
