Re: What's happening to the Burg
I gave up on The 'Burg two years ago. They harrass you if you do not buy their beer, run to many classes (this can be said for other tracks as well) and just do not to be fan friendly, like a track like Bloomington is.
And ISW, they show total disrepect for the drivers and teams by running 3 and sometimes 4 classes. Do these people not realize that the teams have to pack up their cars and equipment and go on to the next track. Why do they have wait thru a bunch of support series when they need to race and get on the road? |

Re: What's happening to the Burg
Don, you always say "They" harrased you, but I've never heard the details. Please enlighten me.....But let me tell you some facts:
1. Per our type of permit it is against Indiana State Law to bring alcohol into a facility that sells it. (it all depends on your type of permit and if you are grandfathered in) 2. If you are in the fairgrounds parking lot drinking beer in your car, the local PD does have a right to check you out, it would no different if you were chugging buds in the grocery store parking lot, if they see you in a car that they feel you will be behind the wheel of, it's their job to ask. Not only are they protecting you, but all the others on the streets. so, what in the world are you referring to??? |

I've only been to the Burg 50 or 60 times since Bozo has taken over, but never has anyone said anything about drinking in the parking lot.I only watch sprintcars so I'm in the lot drinking my beer for warm-ups,mod heats and b mains and what other divisions they run AND THEY DON'T CARE so stop posting that it is an ISSUE DON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Whats wrong with taking care of the drivers that support you en masse on a weekly basis? Kim I seen you liked what Cecil said...are you not happy with the amount of Modifieds you guys get? I encourage our guys at Brownstown to go run at the Burg when we dont race them. And im not an advocate for tin tops, im an advocate for RACING.

The Dick Gaines race is the same payout each year!! no the purse is not on the schedule yet, that was my mistake. which will be fixed. The Budweiser UMP Modifieds do put on a great show!! We only run 3 classes at our events, i am not a back gate promotor!! The October MSCS/USAC Race is $10,000 to win. so thinking back to our schedule so far.. MSCS was $3000 to win, the KISS race was $2500 to win, the USAC race rained out and rescheduled race was rained out, i believe it payed $5,000 to win. This weekend race pays $2500 to win. Not very many have been leaving after the sprint features, because the racing in other classes have been great!! I apologize to you for not being able to watch other classes of cars entertain you. You are missing out!! In the end i am very proud of what we offer at Lawrenceburg. I will not let a few of you complainers bother me one bit. I get emails daily, facebook post and people in person who love what we do. I am always open to suggestions via email. Not on a message board. my email is rpmproductions@comcast.net it is very clear to me that this is a attack from alot on here that support another track because we effect thier home track. I will not stoop to that level, and will continue to do what we do..........SELL FUN!! Hope you all have a great weekend at the races wherever you go. Sincerely, Dave Rudisell |
