It's really sad. East Bay used to be THE PLACE to be in Florida in February. Modifieds, Late Models, wing 410s, wing 360s but now they're lucky to get 20 cars in any division and a few hundred people in the stands.

I thought the track surface was better this year then when I was down in 90,91,95,96:11:

COmpare the crowds for the Late Model shows against anything else they run down there. Now if there were more support for anything else, it would be a different story.

Nun that is true you see better racing with the late models then you do with the WFL (winged follow leader) sprints. This is why more and more people are liking the taxi cabs...JUST BETTER RACING....but take those damn crutches off the top and it's a whole new story is best and it's coming boys....non wing is poping up everywhere across the country:22:

I understand that Hendry County is working on a deal and there should be news soon. I would encourage fans to attend if there are sprints there. Last year they got rained out one of the two nights and had a very small crowd the other night, and they are still willing to try again. You have to support a track which will do this. They are also in the middle of stock car country, but are still willing to try. Also, where else can you get fried gator tail bits in the concession area? Really tasty! Also, they should be nice and warm, since they say they are the farthest south of any Florida track.

Hopefully, someone else will take the opportunity to help put together a real Florida nonwing sprint tour. Wouldn't three tracks be great?

Frank From my understanding it is a done deal...The FMSA will be racing there also Florida Mini Sprints (Winged)...North Florida (Lake City) was looking to do something but did not get together in time...working on trying to get my group there SSSprints (non wing lightning sprints) at Lake City if not will go run the wing at Hendry

Great! My email from the track was several days old. Connections out here in the West haven't been the best I have ever seen. If you absolutely must have good internet connections when you travel, you might want to contact me for a list of where NOT to go.

Seriously, I hope that lots of people support this show. They certainly deserve it after rain and very short crowds last year and they are still doing it again.
