Nice and early, home before dark, fall race, cool weather, whats not to love?. I'm heading straight from work, making a run for the border.
This will be my final local race before heading to Charlotte for the World Finals. This will also be my first pavement crown race and third ever! Any ideas on what cars will be there? I know Berlin was a week day show and on the opposite end ORP had some cup drivers in town and is most likely centrally located to most teams. |
Re: Rollie beale 150
The local ABC station did a short segment on Rollie Beale and his career to support the USAC race in his honor Saturday. Rollie is 81 years old and was filmed climbing over the cage of the Weaver #2 vintage sprinter and into the cockpit. His quote was "the race named for him is as good as a feature win". How cool is that!:9:

Re: Rollie beale 150
Can't make the trip from Colorado, but wanted to say we think it's great to honor an old friend and all time great guy. I'm sure that there wasn't a more respected driver or official in his time. We always look forward to our time with Rollie and Anna Mae during our summer family visit. Sorry we won't be there to see the race.
