Re: OT 9/11 Remembered
I was also disappointed yesterday in the lack of flags at half staff. From my trip from southwestern Ohio to Terre Haute I saw many flags flying but only about 5% were lowered. The ones that really surprised me to be at full staff were 5 different fire stations and the Indiana National Guard near Shelbyville. How soon we forget. Thank you to all that serve and protect us. P.S.- I also notice flags not lowered every year on December 7, another important day of rememberance.

Re: OT 9/11 Remembered
That was a class video regardless of what company created it.
What I think gets totally forgotten about the events of 9/11 is all the variety of people, nationalities, and occupations that were lost that day. You have to respect those that lost thier lives helping. We also need to respect those that lost thier lives that just went to work that day and were trying to earn a living. Secretaries, Janitors, waiters, waitresses, shop owners, brokers, financial, computer people, communications, insurance, many occupations, many Americans and others lost thier lives. |
Re: OT 9/11 Remembered
Well said ThePurple73. That was one fo the saddest factors of 9/11. Most of the people lost that day were either innocent people who simply went to work that day or, people who went in to the buildings selflessly to help others escape. I always respected firefighters for what they do but my respect increased that day. Thanks to all who work in the public safety sector. RIP to all the innocent lives lost that horrible day.
