Re: Midget 400
I am going to get VW engine out of box for this one.New midgets will have a hard time lasting 400 laps at Anderson.

Re: Midget 400
If that's the case it may make the most sense to bring a Focus car. The fast time at the Focus nationals was faster than some of the cars at the national midget race there in September. Many of the times seen during practice at the nationals were faster. Then again, I don't think you will see guys winding their Esslingers up to 10,600 for 400 laps. Hopefully I will be able to make it to this one. Should be very cool. :thumb:

Re: Midget 400
400 laps equals 100 miles. Turkey Nite is 100 laps equals 50 miles. Midget engines are not cheap but i'd think 100 miles at Anderson would be easier on the engine then 50 miles at irwindale... I think it would be a sweet race.

Re: Midget 400
Don Moore has every right to comment on the state of racing in this country because he spends his money doing it because he loves it
t takes car owners willing to stand up and take a chance and make their voice be heard If he chooses not to run a race he lets eveyone know why he chooses not to run it I am sure with the proper sponsership cometment he would even be willing to run a full season |

Well... the midget team micro managers are coming out the woodwork again. I invited several of them last January to come sit in my pits ( and bring their wallet) at Columbus and I would consult them everytime I made a decision. Had nice comfy chairs, catered buffet, free popcorn, hot dogs and tix to the circus. Not one showed.

Frankly, IOW is fortunate to have an accomplished Midget owner of the stature of Don Moore willing to contribute to this board as most will not. There's a short list of owners here. Don has made mention of this previous and is a true statement. Paul Gray __________________ Paul Gray Motorsports www.paulgray28.com NEXT EVENT : "The Rumble in Ft. The reason no one showed is no one likes to listen to you let alone be in your presence!!!!!!!!!! |
