i dont have a Hans, partially from the financial cost, and because of comfort reasons, so does that mean i shouldnt race. your post is competely pointless, whats wrong with someone doing what they can to get a little bit of money for racing. Robertastamm, hope your son is successful in karts, karting days were some of the funnest i ever had.

It's none of my business. Raise money how ever you see fit. Good luck to you all.

There are some experienced guys on here, myself included, who have seen families mortgage their homes so Junior can race. Sometimes Junior is cool, sometimes he's a knucklehead who tears up their own stuff, and someone elses' stuff, then they're gone.

Please, whatever you do...

TURN THE CAPS LOCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul, I usually agree with most of your post, but this time I think you are out of line. I see no difference between Brayden Stamm And Daron Clayton (except age and type of car they drive) I have seen no one complain about Daron having a fund raiser for his team, maybe he needed a new helmet too.

My husband has been sharing with me the things that some of you have been sharing on this posting. I noticed that he was still logged on so I thought that I would share my 2 sense (as any woman would :)) I believe that my husband is teaching good values, to work towards your goals and dreams. Any one that knows my son, will quickly realize what a fan he is. What is wrong with Brayden collecting can? Can you think of any thing else that a 5 year can do to assist in making money for his hobby in addition to his weekly allowances for his chores at home? As for raising money for a helmet, he has a helmet. What is wrong with upgrading on a helmet? The real reason that Brayden would like another helmet is his current one is green that I purchased for him last year and he would like a red one to match his suit and car. Thinks are not handed to him on a silverspoon, I explained to him that he has one that meets his needs and that if he wanted a new one he needs to work extra hard for one. The "garage sale" was an idea that Brayden and his dad thought of. Maybe he should not of said a "fundraiser" How many times do we support sports teams, bands, cheerleaders, etc on their fundraisers for new equipment or uniforms. As my husband said he is sorry for offending anyone, but as I shared with him that is why we live in America and have freedom of speech. If we all had the same ideas, beliefs what a boring world we would live in.

You folks were by no means offensive......What is ludicrous is throwing a young man and his family "under the bus" for trying to put a few dollars together for their hobby.....I applaud them for hustling up funds

When I started racing karts, my dad loaded up a kart (that was built the same year i was born in" with a converted lawnmower engine in a 1984 paint van and we went racing. No spares, no trailer, no driver development deals. Just father and son racing. I miss those times looking back on them.

I hope your son enjoys it as much as I did and I hope he gets that helmet.
